Any thoughts about making wider decks like 11.5"?

Possibly, My bamboo is 11 1/4” wide. So I can’t right now, but I can get it cut wider.

Could always add some wings x)
From what I’ve seen, most decksmiths use 11 or 11.5 inch wood.
11-12 inch width is the sweet spot for me. On a shortboard, I only need like 8 inches for my back foot. But on a longboard, I prefer both foot platforms to be about even.

The wing idea is a good one. Kind of like what you see on some Trampa boards. You could fine tune the width and the amount of camber.

Yeah, plus they can be pretty freakin stylin if done well.

Those e-toxx wings are pretty dank.

I’d like some 3d printed ones that glow in the dark :eyes:

Idea. Integrate those small wireless LEDs into the wings. And implement coil to the deck. It will glow in the dark. No wires.

I got about 500 uses for those that I immediately thought of.

LEDs powered by magnetic flux? That’s wild. How far away can they be?

Those LEDs are a really cool idea!

Wings like this may be really cool on other boards. I wonder how expensive it would be to make them. The Trampa ones are injection molded. How about 3d printing?

Sabre has some. And some others I don’t remember off hand. @SabreDynamics

I’m finishing up some 3D printed TPU tunnel foot pads and they’re quite strong at 20% infill and 6 walls I imagine if you printed wings 100% solid TPU they would work great. You could also do PETG, but the slight squish from TPU could be really nice.

These take ~20 hrs each

It depends of the size of the coil. Could be some distance like 10-20 cm according to the images

2 coils could cover basically a whole board. Not bad at all.

I’ve been working on something like this for my toe-clips.

Do you have your settings? I can’t seem to make it work on my cr10…
