Please help me pick a battery and controller

My budget is like 250-300 for a batt but the cheaper the better. I find I keep having to raise my budget LOL so there’s always wiggle room it will just take longer to finish my build

Well good you seem to know what you want just remember batteries are the most expensive thing on your board and you’ll want to get it right the first time good luck I’ll be watching :call_me_hand:

So a 7x10 for the battery and speed controller. Top mounted but to the back. Sounds like you need some lipos and a balance charger. If your case doesn’t open then you need a bms and charge port

That’s something that will only get better with time. I think for everyone’s first couple builds their starting price is always way lower than what it actually ends up costing. Underestimating cost or wanting more reliable parts or shipping costs always surprise you ha. But it’s well worth it in the end!

Just double your budget from here. That’s what it will all end up costing :sob:

What kind of voltage and current draw am I likely looking at here to run this? Would help immensely at narrowing it down, thank you all for all the help I really appreciate it

You can pull alot of amps with lipos in a small package. I consider two hardcase lipo more durable than a 12s2p in a shitty abs project box thats been siliconed shut hanging off the tail end of a drop thru. Just less points of failure and connections. He rides hard and that box is going to be the first thing that hits when the board flipps over .I would not recommend anything less that a waterproof pelican style impact case

If you go Lipo there are lots of threads just go into the search box and type in Lipo you’ll fine a lot more then I put down :call_me_hand:

If you live around people or own a cell phone this remote is a death sentence.

Although I just am finally fixing my broken one to start using destroying it again

I know lots of people have had trouble w this remote but mine has been flawless. I actually have a spare that I’ll let go super cheap if u decide to go that direction.

I only say that because my cutouts could be very constant and easily reproducible with LTE/bt/idk interference.
