In reality you can charge li ion batteryās with any thing that will vary the ampage and voltage.
Slower is better but there is a point of diminishing returns by the time you get down to 1/2A per cell itās not notisable in the pack life span.
The most important thing is you want to cut the charge off when full itās bad to have li ion been held at 4.2V. Not many charges do this itās more common for the BMS to do this.
In reality I have 2 chargeres I use Often
12A to blast the battery because I want to use my board soon (Iām fully aware that this will reduce the life span of my pack but I also use this for 10-15min not to fully charge my board)
1.7A I leave on over night
If you intend to use it as a comuter to work or collage then calculate a charger that will charge the board a hour befor you want to use it. This will maximise the life of your battery

Iām about to buy myself a proper (Malectrics) welder. Does anyone know how/where I can get cells to ācalibrateā on (or what pulse duration I should go or start with), and what battery I should use? Is any 3s 5AH 60c+ going to be fine? The Spim08hp (I saw recommended by fosterqc here) and lipos recommended on their site donāt seem to be in stock anywhere. Also the cheaper the better

Do you need the fold over 50mm 0.2 must be able to Cary 45amp ish. Double it up and no series links needed nickles good for a solid pack
Unless its a brick pack, I think itās a wise idea to build all esk8 batteries with the ability to flex.
