Thank you. MJ1 and Sanyo GA aren’t available at fogstar and cost too much at nkon. But the MH1 looks very interesting. I also read is has great cycle life, because it has NCA chemistry like the ever lasting Panasonic 18650B from the Model S.

I would manually take the P groups with the swapped wires out of balance and see if the BMS fixes it. You might’ve blown the local balance circuit there.

wondering if anyone has found a good way to hold the 2 spot weld electrodes together in some sort of jig? or holder of some kind…i know kweld has something you can 3d print, but i don’t have a 3d printer. and after building my first pack i am realizing that i dont want to do the 2 hand method any longer lol!

Ask someone to print it for you.

Yeah it’s maybe not the most comfortable thing, but with the two hand method you can adjust the pressure better on both probes.

Do you find that you need to apply alot of pressure? I tapped the two electrodes together with an angled spacer in between them, and I found it much easier to weld p groups where the welds are pretty repetitive. The problem with taping them together, is if you need to do a slightly diffrent kind of weld or spacing, you have to take all the tape off and stuff. Lol

I do not need much pressure, but the nickel might be a bit uneven and on for one probe you would need a bit more pressure than on the other. My maelectrics also has relatively fat tips and sometime I need to change the distance between the probes to get 6 welds right placed.

Whrere did you get that deck? I have a 6’ homemade cnc and I’m thinking of cutting a similar one.

oh i see. BASF

@bwahl602 Just saw your response. Thanks for the heads-up.

Good luck. Why are you doing this? I found a 450w scooter that had two battery acid 12v on Craigslist and my son’s hoverboard only charges so I was going to swap out the battery. Since it was small I figured it would be great practice. I was hoping when I took it apart there was a xt60 or 90 connection but there wasn’t.
