Shoot I might have seen the magic smokeā€¦ I plugged in my 8 pin connector and the bms pins got really hot :flushed: under that 8 pin might, have seen a puff of white smoke too

I dont think so but everytime I plug it in, it gets hot really fast so I unplug it real quick! Also when I measure voltage at xt90 reads 41 volts, but at bat possitive and negative reads 48ā€¦

Did you hook up the C P or whatever the letters are first before you plugged the balance leads?

Measure your balance wires sequentially and make sure the numbers get bigger. And check its not reversed

Well, the first step is seeing if it still works.

That being said, knowing that youā€™ve done that, even if it does work, Iā€™d never be able to fucking trust a BMS that can cut out and full brake me when there may or may not be some small component fried.

Let this be a lesson and do what I said aboveā€¦ Or see if it works and maybe you can give less fucks about it than Iā€™d be able to. Donā€™t like spook in my magic smoke holding machines.

Also triple check anything electric your first few times putting shit together continuity and voltage wise, write it down and make sure it makes sense and shitā€¦

Thereā€™s a certain insanely dope builder on here who still winces every time they put a new major connection together lmao. Either worksā€¦ or blows up a lot of money :joy:
