Good morning guys. I need some help in putting together a 10s4p pack. I put to get here a few lipo pack b4 but never a 18650 pack. Here is my question. I am putting on the balance cable to my 3d printed pack and I want to put balance #1 cable at the positive tab is that okay. I read that I need to put balance #1 cable between P 1, P2 the connection. It’s the same right ? Pls refer to the picture.

It depends on the BMS, most will ask for #1 to be positive, #2 to be P1-P2, etc. So for a 10s pack, you will end up with 11 wires. Positive + Negative + 9 in between. Not all BMS, I would look on the schematics of the BMS you are using to see which balance connections it asks for.

I think my bms takes one negative P and 1B-10B negative. P, 1b+, 2b+, 3b+, 4b+, 5b+, 6b+, 7b+, 8b+, 9b+, 10b+

Pretty sure it’s these guys. IIRC it’s smaller than JST-PH 2.54mm

Just measure pin distance, and search on amazon

“Xpin JST Connector” or “(X-1)S balance connector”

I highly recommend just buying a housing and crimp assortment box on Amazon and crimping your own with silicone leads

You got a crimper you can recomend?

I use a version like these just fine

But these are the GOAT

Just a heads up tho, if you’re truly stubborn or impatient crimping probably isn’t for you. Easy IMO tho.

It is not -PH. bestech uses EH connectors. The pins are both the same for PH and EH (2.5mm) but the shape of the plastic is different.

Yeah I saw the plastic is different

Most people bitch about the ratcheting ones.

I just checked my d596. It’s JST-EH but not 2.54. Either 1.5 or 2.0

I commented a link to a great crimping article a lil bit ago if you look thru my history @skyart

Best bet is to shove a 2.54 up to it or measure the solder points on the back of the PCB.

Huh. Donno. That’s my favorite one. They all do the job I suppose. All EH connectors are 2.5mm. Should be anyway.

Can anyone help Brandon out here?
