Ownboard Zeus Discussion

exactly what i meant. Maybe i’ve had good experience with OB, but this board peaked my interest by having a carbon enclosure which helps with battery failures with wiring. The trucks are proven as it’s just their DKP trucks without the arm. Motors are on other production boards…and a huge battery pack.

Sure the cells are questionable, it’s probably the same ones used in the Backfire hammer. I might even put my DIY GTR that i’m building on hold if this turns out to be good.

I’ll build it. Just have it 99% done and not rideable

Or have you build it? lol

Yes. :sunglasses:

Also…if you end up with a Zeus, may I borrow it to do a review? :innocent::pray:

Ty (the local meepo and backfire guy) is getting a zeus. I think he’d be happy to lend it to you after he’s done with the demos. I’ll ask him

e: he said yes!

Spec wise theses new offerings from Boundmotor Flash, Meepo Hurricane & Ownboard Zeus have completely pulled a fast one on the Atlas and Hadean.

Competition in the prebuilt space has never been better in my view, throw in Propel as well there’s some very good options out there.

Completely agree, the TKP used sounds very interesting.

Yep this is what Scott Davies told me, he opened it up

I just hope this makes others switch from DKP’s to TKP’s as the dominant truck in the market.

If they’re all they’re chalked up to be, it would be interesting for sure.

Scott Davies doesn’t usually ride at such high speeds- I’m sold on TKP for top speed stability after watching his review.

However I’d really like to see how TKPs and DKPs setup for similar top speed, would compare when it comes to carving ability.

Especially considering these are split angle, I think they have a good setup here.

I was surprised too, he said that was the fastest he’s ever gone on any electric skateboard (~32mph). I was kind of impressed that it let him blast up to that speed so naturally

I’ve gone quite a bit faster on my RKP’s but those TKP looked quite stable, only a little bit of jitter

From Scott D’s video, is it just me or does the acceleration not seem like it is as powerful as expected considering it is 13s running on cloud wheels?

When he tested the Endeavor Pro, you could tell that thing had some real acceleration -even Scott brought it up several times.

Ownboard said they would be releasing 6" pneumatic wheels soon, which would reduce the acceleration even more.
