Anyone remember the Hosoi…
Poor guy has spent it’s existence hanging on the wall.
Whatever inspiration I had to make it electric faded away a long time ago.
So I decided to get another surf adapter and slap it on there to give it a bit of life.
stole the trucks off my street board(for now at least)
The Surf adapter is an interesting deal.
can’t really explain it.
but I would definitely suggest trying one.
I just dork around in front of the house for a few minutes at a time to get my body moving…

I had to cannibalize the drive train off my electric hosoi to make the wife board but really love it as a push deck. More so than electric personally.
The surf adapter looks like it could be really fun though. Looking forward to updates. Is it more for comfort or help with turn as well?

Ahh you only put it on the front. Just picked up a set from that link to give them a try. If anyone else is curious, they accepted my offer of $35 almost immediately.
Now do I throw them on the aileron, the hosoi, or the drop cat? I’ll probably try the drop cat first. Thanks for the link and review!

I have not tried them on a long board… so really not sure what that would be like.
the Hosoi is pretty good I think because of all the foot space… you may want to try that first to get pumping going.

back to electric skateboard stuff…
I am going to go ahead and go back to 14/72 on the Flux.
had my second ride today on 15/72.
and it feels good.
but I do think I can notice the battery going down sooner…
and today the ESC got into the 70s celcius… was just a bit hotter out than yesterday.
So. that is that.
it is really a little funny to me…
a long time ago when I was planning on building the flux and was thinking of this battery I just thought it was the biggest thing in the world and would be the biggest battery I would ever need…

Holy bananas kids.
I think I made a new friend.
a while back while waiting in line for the food truck in the neighborhood a neighbor asked me about the boards.
fast forward a bit and he came over today to try them out!!!
Not a skateboarder…
but he rides snowboards and wakeboards.
So I put him on the Demonseed and turned motor amps down to 40.
And he totally got it.
without a single fall…
we even left the neighborhood.
I think we may have saved another soul!!!

New Olders arrived today, well before the cool weather.
quite surprised at how fast… only 28 days from order date(June 21)
it is still really snug when putting over my head…
cheek pads are tighter than the TSG.
but one of my main goals was to have more room directly in front of my mouth. and that is there.

I made the mistake of using Linny’s Hakko. Better than TS-80 and my ksger. Faaack.

I have just used it a tiny bit.
I still hate soldering so it was not magical in that way.
but it did seem better than the TS100 from my limited use so far.
I am going to try to solder some 12awg to mr60 and I am hating that…
