Can’t reproduce this, will try more. I can see that every orientation change is kind of 2-step process (blinks 2 times). Might be android specific. I will look into it.
This is supposed to be like that. The idea behind this is that you have camera view enabled on the first page and that one looks better without menu bar.
This is idle position. When you use the remote it goes up and down much more. But I probably should slightly change how it looks so it stops being confusing
This is only while recording the video. The phone registers the orientation change earlier so it already switches the video format, before metr has changed it itself. So the real world change is an instant switch, no “blinking”
aah, makes sense. The bars do made for a nice cinematic view Gotcha, page 1 best for camera.
I just wanted to second this issue. I can’t remember when it started but I have not had metr on WearOS for a bit now.
Phone: Google Pixel 2 XL
Watch: Fossil Gen 5
WearOS version: 2.23
Metr Version: 4.11.7
BIG EDIT: I fixed it! All I had to do was go to the realtime tab, edit layout and unselect the two data cells displayed to the watch and reselect them! It’s always the simple things…
After the Metr shop went on vacation for the last weeks it is back again with a new web design and new items. You can check it out here: https://shop.metr.at
As a new module we are proud to present the Metr LTE, which is a LTE based GPS tracker with SIM card especially designed for ESK8. You can read more about it here:
In addition we are now selling small parts like cables and antennas separate, like we were asked in the past. Shipping will happen with UPS and DHL Express from now on to allow faster shipping times and prevent the delay nightmare we faced in the beginning of this year.
Like most other electronic companies we are also influenced by the ongoing chip shortage and unfortunately had to increase our prices because of it. Hopefully the prices for parts will go down in the near future, so we can also lower the Metr module prices again.
Please let us know any questions about the new Metr LTE in the dedicated thread or tell us about other items you want to see added to the new shop.
Is there a solution to this? I was trying to calibrate my remote and I couldn’t get it to keep the values. I am not sure what happened (user error I am sure), but now the metr will connect but not pair and my board is unresponsive.
@rpasichnyk. How do I get my board going again? Do I need to go into the vesc tool? My metr will connect but just says “pairing” and will not pair anymore.
Try to force close Metr app and open it again. If it does not help, open system bluetooth settings and forget/remove Metr Pro from the list, then open Metr app again and go to Settings - Scan.
When you calibrate the remote does it automatically write the new values to the vesc? Along those same lines, do you record the ppm input in the values? My board has been anemic lately. I got a new Bruce housing for my remote and forgot to recalibrate. I just realized this on my last ride and that is where I got into trouble with the metr app. That is working now, but the board is still accelerating slow and won’t climb hills like it used to. I haven’t intentionally made any other changes. My max current is around 20 amps and used to be over 40. The max setting is 60amps.
