@MBS have y’all considered making a dual parallel truck like the apex airs but with 4 of the shockblox, and removing the kingpin?
I was told 16.2. they should get stuff in stock… looks like not really, or it’s already sold out because of too many preorders.
I checked yesterday and they said their shipment is STILL stuck at the port. Should be any day now, but they’ve been hearing that for a while now, so not sure.
I’ll post this since it’s relevant discussion. Tried bronze bushings on Hypertrucks and the results weren’t great. Maybe they’d wear differently on the MIII, but I wouldn’t recommend. I’ve changed out my Igus bushings three times since that post and still have a full bag. Not an expensive consumable.
Also in that thread, Fat boy 320s used needle bearings…
I didn’t realize this until yesterday when someone else mentioned it.
But you can change tires on the XL wheels without taking them off the axles.
And that is cool.
Yeah these hubs are great, easy to work on and they can also have spacers added for a wider profile fit without changing the bearing spacing which is neat

Hey everyone,
Thanks so much all the feedback you’ve given on our Matrix III trucks thus far. We’re considering offering a Matrix III version with 70mm axles stock (no need to swap out). To help us make that decision please weigh in on the following two polls:

So Im thinking about upgrading from my matrix 2s.
For the people who have actually ridden both, what is your opinion? It seems like there haven’t been many reviews from people on these.
I am happy with my matrix 2s, but wondering if I would be even happier with 3s.
I think @rafaelinmissouri has got quite some miles on both trucks maybe he can tell us something.
@Creavenger @Posterduck
I converted my street carver Flux build and my All terrain/ all weather Tommi Boi carver to M3s.
I am totally happy with both.
I can say for sure M3s are better than M2s if you have the stock MBS bushings.
If you are on stock I would suggest considering the Radium Adapters and Riptide Bushings first.
Provided your M2s are in good shape.
It it really hard for me to say if M3s are better than M2s with the Riptide Bushings.
The riptide bushings something that was a huge improvement for me in both stability and carveability.
I had broken 2 M2 axles and worn some pretty loose.
And I do believe that that new construction of the M3s is superior and expect them to hold up longer.
Changing out the bushings on the M3s is much easier.
The formula of the new bushings really remind of the feel of Riptides.
And having the outer position in the rear has been great for stability.
That does make tighter turns harder.
Has anyone tried cutting the riptide bushings and using them for matrix 3?
Ive looked at it for a build I am working on but prefer not to cut them. Gonna test some adapters to use the stock riptide bushings on my MIII’s very soon.
What Lacroix bushings would you suggest for the M2s? I currently run yellow in the front and orange in the back (mbs bushings obviously), and anything above 25 mph just starts to feel a bit less locked in than I would like.
You may have to ask some other folks that may be closer to your set up.
I am 220 lbs and I used to run orange orange.
And more recently was running orange red…
And now I am using white up front and green in the back.
