The rheostatic brake is kinda exciting for me. I live at the top of a hill and unless i just cut laps up and down my street, the only way to go is down.
It’s not a big thing for a lot of people, but its a step towards making the sport safer and any innovation towards safety is valuable to the sport I feel.
The rheostatic brakes that hyperion was selling were from Maytech. Ernesto mentioned in the live chat that he had Spintend making his, so it’s possibly an entirely different design.

It’s no problem to most people almost all the time, but when it is a problem for you, it can be a BIG problem for you, if the circumstances are just right.

Fully agree. My bms on my old board is wired for discharge and if you overcharge, it cuts the power. I know how scary it is, fortunately when it happened the first time, I knew it was because I was at 100%, and knew to look out for it
I was also on a small hill at the time.

Man the purpose of this board is to push the limits and bring new things to eSk8.
On the pricing that will get reviewed since now we got a good amount of cash at hand (+180K) to bring the supplier in line and pass those savings to the customers and refund the difference to those that already paid in full.
