Feedback request for Caliber motor mount

I’m having issues with the circlip touching the mount and not allowing it to spin.

Should I just file the mount down until there’s enough clearance?

I thought my motor bearings needed oil - odd since they’re brand new.

Turns out the “whirring” noise is the motor c clip making contact with the boardnamics xl mount plate.

I see 3 options

1. File down c clip (making it super difficult to service motor in future)
2. Washers between motor and mount plate (eww)
3. Dremel out a bit of the inside surface of xl mount plate.

I’m leaning toward the dremel option but I need some second opinions.

I like the updates. Still need a way to adjust the belt tension though.

I used to be opposed to the idea of idlers, but as I started riding with more power, now I like them… It’s a lot easier to prevent skipping esp during heavy braking. Maybe make a longer idler version for rear mounting, and a shorter regular version for front of truck mounting?
