Hello
I’m quite new to ESk8 but getting really addicted.
This summer while I was waiting for my first board to come I spent some time designing boards in 3D (my primary job)
I found a design that I liked and managed to shape my deck according to the original 3D design.
(I’m afraid the virus got me hard and I’m already on another project involving Direct Drive, and stuff )
Cheers,
D.

I bought à pre-shaped rectangular deck and cut my shape in

How are those wheel guards mounted, given you have direct drive motors.

pre-shaped rectangular deck
Link to this?
Way overpriced for what it is but I wanted to do it and didn’t have the money for a full roarockit vaccuum press

those are cheaper but can’t tell about quality

Anyway, look for “Uncut longboard Deck”

What software do you design in?
A thread for discussing our CAD designs and getting help would be cool, complementing the 3D files request thread.

3DS max, not a technical soft, just for sketching ideas (I’m a 3D artist in the game industry, not an engineer )

Wow I didn’t know the Nintendo 3DS could render like that. wow I am way too high!
Jk lol
I use Solidworks, it does me very well. I spent 3 years hardcore designing robots for FRC. ORF4450.org is my old team

Yeah unfortunately some nerds started that team.
Pretty good nerds, but still.
I’m only messing, we’re all nerds here. Even the ones who think they aren’t.

New One
I know the mechanics is quite “uncertain” at the moment, but I like the look.
Still trying to figure out how to get those wheels to turn too.
Here is what I get when the deck leans

Looks like you could really lean in to the straight line lol.
There would be bushings that the parallel bars would attach to correct? I think that works.
I really like this modular/switchable drivetrains thing it looks like you are designing with the board attachment.
Seems relatively low hassle, almost hot swappable.
Also those are the Flipsky 105mm hub motors?
