Yes, sorry, my English is bad.
Yes, yes, I didnāt invent fire, haha. Thanks for your encouragement.
Are there any videos or photos of this board? Iāve watched a lot of videos, but very few are of homemade builds, especially fast ones.
I havenāt seen any of the SKP 0-100mph esk8, but you can find Heath Lewis here a little and on YouTube going 60mph, uphills and 0-50mph in 6.9.
This is such a lame take dude. Its not about you or what values you consider to be contributing to the āeskate communityā. This guy is doing his thing on a world record level. Thats moving this sport forward. He has entertaining videos. Go brush your teeth and watch some.
I wish you luck on your journey but thereās no chance iām giving you any money.
Like Chris said, many of us have dumped hundreds and thousands of dollars and hours into this hobby without asking for anything back.
Iām unsure why you think we would pay to stroke your ego? Iām sure the record is important to you, but it probably doesnāt mean a great deal to most others.
Kinda baffles me how people think its ok to just make a gofundme and ask for money to build a skateboard for self gratification.
Weāre more than aware of the great things that can be manifested in a garage. Its literally what we do.
Actually, this thread has me wondering: Who currently has the World Record for ESK8? And how fast is the current record? And my GF wants to know if there is a womenās World Record? (If so, I think she can break it). LOL!
All good fam, like i said previously, itās a pretty cool project probably. I watched the video that was up when op posted his Gear drive questions thread a while back. The goals are and videos are akin to a āworldās fastest indianā feel and thatās great. Imho they are hype videos but lack substance - just my personal taste, im not into influencers or aspiring ones. Just my personal preference.
Maybe itās a sour take but my values dont change fast. The bar for who im willing to help and how much help im willing to offer are pretty low i think. All i ask is that you are generally mostly polite and try to have some fun while not being a bigot or troll. I give a lot to my local community and think of esn as a part of that.
If you showed up for a week and on your second thread tap the community for money for your project i think im justified in being a little more cautious and asking for more info and contribution. For how many red flags that sends up i think im being pretty open minded. If op was doing a gofundme for a new board or truck design or some future tangible product instead of an entertainment product, i would be exactly as suspicious.
Gofundme and kickstarter get abused by people just trying to parasitize communities all the time. Im not telling you not to give this guy some money because you liked his pitch - i just didnāt like his pitch and said why and how i could be convinced. The response was ānaaa ive got secret sauce, trust meā and so my reply is meh. All good and good luck with your project.
Very good if thatās what you were doing, very well done
competition my record attempt
Thanks, men, what people donāt understand is that I made this skateboard for the purpose of this record, not to go shopping or go for a Sunday stroll. When I came back to your community, I realized that there were quite a few things that hadnāt changed much. Thatās when I tried to bring my original sport to yours (smaller board, narrow trucks). is the one who has the record comes from downhill too .
Anyway, thanks, I feel less alone, haha.
Itās 132.6 km/h And yes, thereās no womenās record. Going to 100 is easy, but exceeding that speed gets harder with every km/h. Wind first, fision, and keep calm Good protection like leathers and longboard gloves is mandatory. Stay safe
Yes, no worries, I can manage without it if necessary Itās just that most brands want me to beat it with their boards, and Iāve had several requests⦠I wanted to stick to my initial goal, which was to beat this record with a homemade board. Iām not an engineer, but a joiner and a cabin maker.
You see, I was thinking wrong. I thought that for a world record and a film that would show the general public a little more about downhill and e-skating, your community would be interested in helping me with a little help. No problem, sorry for this post in that case.
Woodworkers of the world unite!
A woman holds the world record for longest eskate ride!
What about the world record for broken drive belts in one day?
Sorry if Iām off subject, just saw the title and figured anything goes?
I want the record for most beers consumed in 24hrs while riding esk8 with no shoes on. (19 beers over 90km)
K thx bye
never seen someone train so religiously
My dude going about 35 that would be almost 10 beers per hour, wtf how do I even compete with that?
Practice makes perfect
