World record esk8 🙏

I’ve been working on this electric skateboard world speed record project for a year now. After building a first prototype and achieving a speed of 132 km/h (current record at 132 km/h), I’m now looking for support to continue the adventure. If you’d like to give me a hand, here’s the link to my crowdfunding campaign for this record .

If you can’t contribute financially, a share, a comment, or even a personal message would be encouraging and invaluable.

Thank you all!:muscle:t2::heart:

Good luck with this adventure, I was wondering ehat wheels were you using for prototype? I would assume most of the production wheels would disintegrate at that speed…

Also maybe you can send list of parts you are looking for… so some of the vendors can help you out with samples…

This is a great goal. I admire you for pushing the limits. I have a few questions regarding going that fast:

  1. Why do you use a short board? Isn’t it less stable at high speeds? And why thane wheels instead of pneumatic?

  2. And what kind of pads and safety equipment do you use?

At the rear, they are Orangatang wheels and at the front, they are wheels currently under development they make quite hard wheels, with less deformation. As for the parts, the more I know, the better, that’s how I can test and adapt…
I already have the controllers from Sponsored. Otherwise, I’m looking for everything else: guard drive, motor, battery…

I come from a downhill background. We use small boards. And I prefer urethane wheels; I know them. I use custom-made leather with D3O protection underneath. And what you see above is a wetsuit that improves aerodynamics.

Wouldn’t racing leathers work better than neoprene?

I already have a racing leather, but the best thing is to have the least friction with the air

This is really impressive!

Can we get some information on the electronics? I think your video said something about using the most powerful motors in the world so is there a really high end brand we haven’t heard of or something?

And we might be able to give you some advice, it sounds like you are quite short on power.

No, it’s not a new brand and no, I’m not lacking in power. If I push the engine’s capacity to the max, I can reach 32 hp At 130 km/h, I’m using a little more than half the power.

No worries, just had a closer look at the video and saw it’s a 3Shul C350 VESC, Scorpion hk 4535 motors
and probably LiPo batteries to get that power from such a small space. That’s a very powerful motor and controller.

And @3DServisas (you might be interested in your parts being used here) trucks and gear drive.

Yes also, i have a old 3dservisas

I dont want to be an asshole, but this is a DIY community, people around here drool iver technical stuff… amps, batteries, consumption, bushings and stuff like that. You will get a lot more help/funds if you share those things…

Maybe its just me but i feel like you are not willing to provide any info about your build unless its asked for specifically…

Also i have no idea why you would need 10.000 euros

Anyway I wish you all the best in succeeding this adventure, will send some funds later today.

Hit me up if you ever pass by Belgium!
I don’t ride that fast though…

I can understand your point of view.
As for the specifics, it took me a lot of time to research, to try… I’m not really one for giving away valuable information in two minutes.
If you have specific projects, I’d be happy to help you privately, not publicly.
Furthermore, I need this money for two reasons:
The first is to rebuild a skateboard, and the second is the budget to make a film that retraces the entire journey it took me to get here…
It’s been sleepless nights of reflection, more than 300 hours of work on a skateboard that I currently have to rebuild because I broke some parts, and others are badly worn out.
And you’re right, from your point of view, it may seem bad.
In the crowdfunding, there’s a graph that explains the budget a little more precisely and where it’s going.

If you want the support of a community, you should contribute more than requests for financial assistance. Your goals seem interesting and i understand you want to monetize your work and hobbies but it’s not captivating without bringing people on your journey with you.

Ive spent 300hrs or more on single builds and well into the thousands of hours on research and collaboration and experimentation freely shared with the community in order to help and grow and collaborate to push the hobby forward. Many have done significantly more than me to design and develop the sport/hobby and create resources freely available.

What about your cloistered project makes it deserving of financial support from the community? Seems cool but commercial use of this space without adding value leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Change my mind?

This isn’t for commercial purposes, but rather to show that you can do great things in your garage and encourage people to embark on projects like this (I’m neither an engineer or not a ritch person).
I’m not averse to sharing information again, but I prefer to share it individually before my film comes out. You have to understand me, we’re talking about a world record…
Afterwards, if it bothers the community, I’ll remove my post without any worries.
I’m capable of doing it alone, but it will take more time, and just like you, I have a life to live.

There might be a language barrier, in fact i choose to believe there is, but saying you’re not willing to give away “valuable information” kinda sounds like you’re looking down on us.

Respectfully, i don’t really believe there’s some secret sauce you’ve discovered that already isn’t available somewhere on this forum.

People here try crazy new ideas and build amazing stuff (check out @NoWind Psychoframe build for example) and like to share. I dont really think people are interested in competing with you for the speed record, steal your glory and recipe, people are just nerdy and curious and want to know details. Also, most would be happy to help you in your quest if you’re interested in improving your build. Theres always someone who has thought more of something than someone else!

Im not trying to push you into sharing details of your build if you dont want to and I really, really hope this doesnt come across as rude or hostile and wish you the best on breaking the speed record!

Look at this for a good example, it’s a much more practical and capable setup compared to a tiny battery and slippery thane wheels when you’re talking about absolute max speed so it counts for more imo
