What are the best tires people have found for widening?

Look at @Arzamenable thread

Will do and thank you moon!

Yes you are absolutely right, your calculations are correct. About 67/70Wh / mi.
But I only use it on paths on grass and dirt roads on slopes.

In what program did you make the spacer? Any chance you are willing to share it?

All done in Solidworks

They are here, still some tweaking to be done but they work

For science!:

TB AT 160 x 50 pumped to 10psi… NO HUB… (I got askeered to go higher) 50mm wide 145mm dia. (Right)

Stock TB mounted on Kaly hub left pumped to 50psi. 50mm wide x 160mm dia.

Hold my beer…

I can get this wide on a stock kaly channel truck without even fukking with dish etc…

I’m designing a spacer to be a bit less… Bead to bead dimension at about 60mm
Presently the hubs are 35mm… So a 25mm spacer…

I want one of these for evolve hubs so i could use trampa gummies on them
Unfortunately my fusion 360 skills suuuuuck

Great thread so I want to buy a hub to fit these tires like @MoeStooge and @DEEIF with the same look are there any dealers in the USA that sale widen hubs??

I’d settle for a STEP file or mechanical drawing off MoeStooge’s spacers.

I don’t have those skills so I went and paid the big bucks for these🤩

So some questions, does widening the hubs actually count considerably for stability/traction etc?

Also call me stupid, but you can just widen the rim and the tires will form to a wider shape with them? No extra things needed to add?

And lastly, does it actually increase the chance of tires ripping because they were not meant to be stretched this way?

it’s only a spacer…I’m not giving up @moe’s IP… but if’n your just a little clever you can figure it all out with a little searching and looking…
