"Trail Blazer" My Trampa / MBS Hybrid ATB

Maybe add lots of that thick box foam that e.g. complete boards come in. Or maybe flamingo.

To address the battery mount this was made. I’m going to throw those lipos in a little box so when I crash this thing won’t burn down and depending on size, I’ll try to do the same with the 12s4p. I’ve been using that battery longer than I thought I would be on this board.

Had a great time in LA & SD so here’s some pics.

There is definitely a benefit to hard encased batteries.

Not as easy to access and take to parts. Water and impact protection seems key for long term use. Do you have plans for upgrading that?

De-rusted the chains with WD-40 and a wire brush. Found my old toothbrush and lubed it too. Looks a lot shinier.

Found a nice box for the two batteries. It will still keep the orientation of the overhanging 12s4p but be taller to accommodate the lipos. Should be quick and easy to dremel out XT connector holes since I used to drill and file excess material away.

For two batteries or all three batteries?

2 packs, 3 batteries

Well I got the box today and can’t get it open. Talked to customer support and they think a vacuum may have been created applying suction when the lid was first put on that makes it difficult to remove. They said it should just lift off like you’d expect if it’s not screwed in (it’s not screwed in)

If I can’t get it off this weekend I’ll get another one with a lid not stuck to it. Disappointing. It also looks a tad short length wise so fitting the 12s4p in might be a hassle. Potentially have to cut it open and remove some excess heatshrink.

Heat it up with a hair dryer, should help

Pressed hard on the crack between the two pieces and heard a bunch of air seep in then I could easily take it off.

Got the batteries in with some slight sanding. Working on xt connector holes now but it got dark outside and my drill is dead. Drill+Dremel combo makes this easy.
