Torqueboards TB110 Really Big wheels [Serious]

Believe me Bro, 120mm to 150mm segment is empty. A void market space ready for the first daring manufacturer to disrupt our Esk8 world. 135mm is my dreamland. No pioneer so far.

You must have some nasty roads that’s your riding for the need of a 135mm thane wheel :joy:

You are bad @torqueboards . They don’t look that bad when new. Prblm is how they turn later with that dullish tone. Planing on hitting the market with them? One suggestion…get rid of the white cores . Black’s much nastier.

That’s only size testing… :face_vomiting: Not a fan of the color. lol

Totally agree with ya :ok_hand:

I think I’d get tired of carrying 135mm x 4 of thane :joy:

Don’t lie to yourself Bro. 6", 7" or 8" Pneumies with their set of hubs, bolts, nuts and tubes are not that much different. Perhaps even heavier. So what’s the excuse here?

Never rode tires before so I have no reference for weight difference  but jumping for 90mm thane to 110 was like going from carrying a baby compared to carrying a 6 year old

Interesting theory, but unfortunately not correct.

I’m not going to share Dex’s real identity and I’ve shipped things to you, so you know I’m not in Texas :smirk:

That kegel core looks microscopic in that wheel

6" inch tires are 150mm in diameter. We can consider that the lowest standard size where pneumies start. So that’s the limit to which urethanes can go. So far, with few exceptions (Trampa Gummies at 125mm and iWonder iClouds at 120mm) there are no urethane wheels in a great segment of the theorethical spectrum, 30mm to be precise, from 120mm to 150mm.

Hey hey leave my wheels and their microscopic cores alone :eyes::eyes:

But pure thane of 135mm compared to an air filled tire with an aluminum hub, that’s the same weight ?

I think comparatively they are the same weight. Pneumies are complex amalgamation of parts compare to simple urethane wheels.

I’m not sure if they’d be the same weight, but I’m optimizing for reliability and range and if a few extra grams on a 15kg board gets me more of that, then :+1:

so beautiful

Are these the wheels I have rn when they were new? Or is this something totally new, if they are new, I want…

That looks like a new prototype of some sort
