Actually not. great suggestion! Will try that

I weigh 95kg and have dual Vesc 4.12.

I was hoping to go 18t and 40t. I hope this doesn’t overheat the VESC. Gearing ration of 2.2:1

I do that every day, yes. Compared to many other wheels I’ve tried, these are really good.

Clearance with 40T is 24mm. Could go 44T no problem.

15/40 or 15/44

That will make me slower.

You think going 18t and 40t is a bad idea?

Now i regret not buying them on Sale a few hours ago.

It was the bearings. Thank you so much for your help! Now time to get new bearings even though they where only used for like 250km

Everything you’re describing sounds exactly like what its like to ride urathane longboard wheels. That’s just how they ride imo. The grip will never be the same as pneumatics. Some people here will say different, but that’s how I feel after trying all of them.

For me, pneumatics just feel safer if you want to hit the kind of things your hitting without avoiding them.

Sounds like you should switch back to penuamtics for the riding style you are looking for.

That being said the feeling of riding urethane wheels on smooth ground is better than anything else and that’s why people tend to overlook these other characteristics in my opinion.

Edit: I haven’t ridden the tb110s but I’ve tried just about every other urathane wheel.

Definitely, and they just take a little more practice to ride and feel comfortable on. With urathane if you are riding at a decent speed and maybe hit some rocks while leaning for a turn you need to expect that the back end COULD slip out whereas with pneumatics you could hit that same debris full lean and not really have any slip out.

Some of these guys have been riding urethane wheels for 20 years and the back end slipping out a little bit is just a normal part of the ride for them that they can easily correct for. For the rest of us that may mean a catastrophic fall :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

We should have 40T Kegel Bolt-On’s soon. As of now, we only have 36T, 44T.

@Skatardude10 I do have them they just aren’t on the website separately atm.

Dude, the only reason your having these problems is because it’s the first urethane wheel you have ridden. Do you want to try out my electric flywheels, I hear they have similar feel

Hey @torqueboards you should send me some pneumatics just a thought.

You haven’t tried the electric flywheels, the unobtainable ones, 74a 64mm contact patch

But you said

So first you need to decide what you want.

True I did, but I don’t want to go slower than my current top speed of 30mph.

Will it work 18t and 40t (ratio 2.2:1)

Or shall I stick with 16t 40t (ratio 2.5:1)

I don’t want to overheat the Vescs.

You need to plug all your build information into the calculator linked from the top. We can’t know that without more information such as motor Kv and battery voltage, et cetera.
