The Suspected Privacy Breach – What happened, mistakes we made, and how we’ll proceed

Most anticlimactic response ever.
Lots of words used to say not much more than was already evident.

Also excuse me if I don’t believe you have actually understood your mistakes or just react to feedback.
When I stated the fact that Zack and Bill were silenced before Mike you felt it was completely justified.
As if 2 different people wrote that response but I will keep the answer from the owner of the forum.

The mod that caused all of this was not demoted or silenced as fast as the ones that exposed him.

That’s right. Because we weren’t exactly sure of what exactly happened, and the two other people decided that instead of trying to figure it out like we agreed, they would follow their impulses instead. Except only one was aware that we even had a plan because the other wasn’t an admin. Which means they acted alone without approval and we can’t have that either

Here’s where we seriously screwed up : We temporarily silenced both Bill and Zach’s accounts, but we did not silence Mike. His mod and admin rights were removed, but we did not silence him during the “investigation period.” In hindsight this was a very major mistake, since the others were silenced. We will learn from this, and make sure we don’t make that same mistake in the future.
