how are you mating @torqueboards hubs onto 12mm axles? do their bearing seats fit skateboard (22mm outer diameter) or mountain-board (28mm od) bearings?
don’t the og kaly drives mate with @trampa pattern wheel hubs? if so are the tb at wheels somehow compatible because they have their bolts in the same place?
edit: i’m too slow @mutantbass beat me to it

Aha, so good question, the front wheels will have mbs hubs which are the same diameter as TB hubs. And for the drive wheels I will simply use a 10mm bearing in the TB hubs which have the same bolt pattern as kaly hubs and superstars

I think I will have to go all the way through, not sure how inserts will seat in the carbon fiber deck…anyone have experience with this?
Oh boy, here we go 🙂 Here is my trampa build which I should have documented way better than I did. Honestly, if it wasn’t for a friend bugging me 10 times a day for updates, I probably wouldn’t have taken any pictures. Sorry in advance for some...

heres my build thread with inserts
couple more resources
Exact ones I use.
Yeah m3 x 6mm.
No other way to know except trying. I ended up using 10mm but depends if you use padding in between.
Mine goes
screw - spring washer - regular washer - enclosure - 1mm foam - insert
Total of 24 screws.
I used m3 as opposed to a larger size because I wanted to take out as little plastic as possible from the enclosure but who knows. probably doesn’t matter.
Also I drilled m4 holes into the enclosure. You would have to be some kind of alignment wizard to b…
I do drill a full hole the length of the insert and use a drill bit collar to make sure I don’t drill all the way through the deck. Just put the insert right next to your bit and find the place where your collar needs to be. If i remember correctly, the trampa 15 ply is about 10mm thick. my insert is 6mm long. I drilled in about 7/8mm and it worked beautifully.
Practice on a piece of wood first. I use loctite 648 btw. You can sort of see in this picture the point at which I apply the loctite. s…
