Can you link a v4 vesc to a v6 vesc via CANBUS for awd?

Can I use that code on my 2nd d75?

I presume that this doesnt work with 10s?

Usually it’s 3s minimum on 60V vesc designs so I don’t see why it wouldn’t

anywhere between 3 to 12s will work, “technically” 13s also, but u will be risking too much with nearly 0 headroom

Do you offer custom firmware to run both sides in parallel for a single motor at higher current?

That can only be done with single MCU dual ESC designs because otherwise there is a risk of both sides de-syncing and potentially destroying one another.

Just run double motors on each wheel, or even better have 2 wheels per axle

My application is one motor, not two. This would be for an electric ride on car. Currently running a single Ubox with good results but looking for a backup solution and another ESC for my nieces ride.

Only options are dedicated single motor drivers, or Unity/Stormcore/Tenka

How much headroom do the bits on the board already have? Isn’t there some standard elec engineering headroom that should be there?

I’ve been blowing up flipsky 75100s which are rated at 84v and I’ve been doing 87v full charge. One shot flames and one still kinda goes but will short and smoke plugs but then go back to green till back to red for a second periodically. Im not using it anymore

Should be there? Yes. Is actually there? Generally no, on nearly every VESC hardware.

We have a very bad habit in this hobby of completely disregarding headroom and safety margin. Both on the user end (running a Unity at 13s, for example) and on the vendor end (advertising their hardware at the maximum possible spec) because headroom doesn’t sell ESCs.

@DerelictRobot and @jaykup have been banging the drum about inadequate headroom for a while now, and I think they have a point.

I would sure fucking hope not, buddy.
