first ride with the vx4 btw and i’m loving it. size and the telemetry is a huge upgrade from the hoyt puck. hopefully hoyt will do a gen 2 of their puck soon.
Correct
Planning to use VX4 with go-foc as well. Did you connect your UART for the reciever into the port that’s got the pwm label on the esc?
Sorry if that i s a total noob question. Can I just use a loop key with this ESC and than use the push to start function?
Yeah I think someone answered in a post just bridge the sw and gnd together on the switch port. I need to do the same to mine.
I use a splitter that shares the uart port with the switch. I have a gen 1 dv4s so the pinout might be different.
I tried using the unused uart port but found that to be buggy
Hi, can you take a photo of the uart port? or is there any documentation? I want to buy this Bluetooth module from flipsky and don’t know which one will fit without tinkering. Pleas anyone who knows that it works please let me know.
And yes I know, metr/minnie is way better, but they are not in stock again and way more expensive. Also makers Bluetooth module would probably work for sure, but it is like 50 € with shipping and import tax ect. And flipskys BT module is 24 € shipped.
getting a bit of a weird issue here, just did motor detection on a DV4s and when I spin my motors up, one just stops, the other stutters and then my vesc reboots. seems to happen more ovten at higher RPM.current levels. sometimes it does it right off start of the throttle pull. not sure what’s going on as when I have VT connected logging doesn’t show, because the VESC reboots.
Same CAN ID is set?
different CAN ID for each side.
I figured out the above issue, now the only thing left is even after following the guide for the power button with shutdown mode on the button side set to OFF_AFTER_10M and the CAN-connected side set to ALWAYS_ON but the power button doesn’t seem to work, when pushed it just makes the vesc reboot, and when held it does the same thing
it should be off after 30 minute, not 10 minute
I just changed it, no effect on button behaviour. doing the double-write on settings to be extra sure.
Restore the default parameters and try again? do you have a video?
this is after restoring the vesc to default and setting it up from that, as in I just did it before encountering this issue.
going to try to take a video, but it’ll be hard to show everything at once.
omg thank you, I mush have mixed up the wires when changing the plug.
gotta say though, 5V and SW look pretty damn similar if you don’t look hard enough.
@YUTW123 Do you still ship the DV4S with the push button switch and if yes, do we have options for a shorter/smaller one? Thanks.
DV4S in stock. Comes standard with a 16mm switch button, you can use a normal 12mm button, just solder three wires, SW 5V GND. Ordinary normally open buttons will work.
