Thanks; I mentioned somewhere that the original switch is bright enough that if it were red, I could use it as a tail light. I’m planning a build and I may actually do that.
How would this ESC be for loaded unlimited hub motors (12S board)?
Overkill
I know in terms of power handling, but I meant more for running sensorless etc
I’m actually pairing one of mine with unsensored motors and planning to use silent HFI, although these are not hubs. Ping me next sunday to make sure I remember posting about it, I can probably run it through setup next weekend and tell you how it went
It’s a shame I don’t have any MT60s on hand, I could run it through detection with unlimited hubs as well if I had some MT60s hahaha
Ngl i kinda want to try this board on unlimited hubs…
edit: okay i convinced myself to buy some mt60s to run it with the unlimited hubs first for a bit
I have heard that the unlimited hubs don’t run very well with hfi.
But running straight sensorless shouldn’t be an issue, just need to push start.
Not a problem on this board, I’ll just do that
What a great idea. Tail light with zero parts overhead
Does anyone one know the blink/LED codes for these?
I have 2 blues, 2 greens and one blinking red on the switch side. Blinking is consistent at 0.5 second intervals
@YUTW123 on your website, you have the DV4s mount dimensions as 90x33. Is that a later version to the 90x20 pattern shown in May 2023? Did you sell both versions, or were the 90x20 prototypes?
First batch was different pattern compared to the following batches. Don’t remember the current pattern though
@yoyotinker
Gotcha, thanks. I assume current version is 90x33 as per listed on website, but will confirm once I make a thread
For those watching at home, I just received my (second) DV4S and the switch it ships with now is much smaller and not as bright so I won’t bother replacing it with a red one anymore.
I’ll just install dedicated red LEDs.
(Also, I couldn’t find a red switch that would’ve been bright enough).
Does anyone sell GO-FOC DV4S?
US, for good price
might be the best you’ll get in the us at least
It’s cheaper to just order it directly from MakerX. They ship by air so it’s pretty quick.
So I start my board with the power button. Sometimes only one motor spins. So then I push the button to turn off, then back on. Now both motors are on.
What goes?
When you’re pressing the button the first time, make sure you’re giving it a good solid press. Doesn’t need to be a “press and hold,” but dont give it a super quick tap. Like 1sec maybe, just to make sure both sides have enough time to wake up.
If you haven’t configured the on off button related settings correctly in VESC tool, one side can stop responding until you restart it.
The side where the on off button is plugged in has to be off after X amount of time (I use 30 minutes usually), and the other side has to be always on.
Not sure if it’s the same on the dv4s, but on the d100s your on off button settings reset if you touch the input wizard. So maybe even if you configured it once it’s possible the settings got reset.
Thanks guys. I’m 99% sure the settings are correct but I probably press the button very quickly so I’ll try and see if it could be that.
