Ok so truck holes went well - that 3D printed jig is so sweet. Now to do the channel for the 3links.
I don’t have access to those trucks so can anyone advise on how wide and long and also location of this cutout to work for the 3links.
Cheers,

Tbh, the use of that hole/channel is something that a lot of people won’t need, i chose to not incorporate it in my iterations as for the people who don’t need it, it results as an unsightly hole in the deck…
Just my 2c
Frothing on how its looking!!! Put the newbeelinks on it!!!
Im with Al, not everyone lowers the links to need it and folks will mount them anywhere in Al’s million holes.
I’d leave it to them as its pretty custom to the build
Better with the OG’s
Meh, you’re living in the past man, stooge 3 links are like so 2022
Not what the GPS dicks say
FTFY
I think if you have the option to buy one with a hole, or have you guys cut the hole, that would be extremely valuable to certain people.
Only reason I haven’t dropped my 3 links through my RE yet is because it’s a lot of work to get the holes drilled for them and remount
IME drilling the deck hole was the easiest part. the baseplate is a perfect guide to where to drill.
rebuilding the srb trucks was a real pain.
Yeah agreed. Baseplate great guide, rebuilding trucks suck. And each build is going to be unique-ish. Especially with that many mounting hole options.
Northcamp had the hole predrilled but only one mount option. And on my particular Northcamp I had to widen the hole cause it wasn’t perfectly lined up.
Thanks guys,
I’ve opted to leave that Slot cut out following your advice.
Next thing was to decide on a finish for this one.
This one is already sold so have been throwing around lots of different ideas with the soon to be owner. Skinning, paint stripes….etc.
But we’ve landed on a subtle Lime wash to really show off the contours of the deck and it’ll look sweet against some black vicious grip.
This is four coats of lime wash. Then it’ll be a fine sand and super high gloss
Updates? You got me blue balling here
Right!? That limewash is hoootttttt
Haha I’m in holiday mode. Just needs a few coats of gloss and it’s off to the new owner to build out. (Hopefully he continues the build updates on this thread)
Then it’ll be a made to order deck if anyone is interested.
His childcare fees are equal to my fkn salary so it balances out haha
Oh, I thought that was just you working in the shop!
