The Flowstate / Glyphiks Semensteeze - The Semendeed Reborn

Can’t quite remember but whatever holes gave me wheel clearance. I was able to mount closer in on the rear as less rear steer.

Makes me think with all the adjustment and how much it changes with height and bar angle that the routed slot may be pretty handy. Sucks trying to oval out a hole that’s already been drilled.

The general idea with all the holes is so that you can reasonably easily find the shortest length wheelbase you can while still having clearance.

Two away from the inside.

Interesting idea didn’t think about that.

@glyphiks did you entertain any 18 or 20s layouts for this enclosure? I’m assuming with a stagger stack 18-6 or 20-5 shouldnt be too much of an issue?

I did not.the most cells you can comfortably fit in one layer without staggering of any sort is 96 cells with bms stacked on top, no gasket required. Esc would need to live in its own box with this arrangement

First SemenBone combo out the door!!!
Definitely naming it the SemenBone just so people have to say that word out loud :joy:

Looks so good! Can’t wait to see it built out!

Next big test will be the flex. It feels good to me when I’ve tested it but I’m no racer.

They can always continue to skin and skin the underside if required.

Semenbone is home :metal:

I enjoy the tomiboi deck, it’s done me well but I think this flowstate is just that bit better. No need for those extensions is a huge plus but the new deck just feels that much nicer underfoot. Where the tomiboi feels quite flat the gas pedals and the drops really feel purposeful on the semenbone.

Build and finish is :ok_hand:

Can’t wait to swap all this gear out and send it.

Bit of an update for everyone.
The first board obviously went out to @sugandese. After setting it up he found it to have just a bit too much flex. Instead of fucking around with different skinning options we decided to make another board with a much stiffer layup being 10 layers of maple and 1 layer fibreglass. The 10 lam was how @glyphiks had designed it from day one and I now see why this is the best option.

I then went on to add two carbon fibre skin layers to the top side and one to the underside.

This thing is now solid as a rock! With no flex at all.

I will get the flex board back from @sugandese and set it up as more of a street board for myself as I don’t mind a bit of flex.

Anyway - here’s the finished product.

Progress…

My heavily bastardised version of what was originally a nice clean single stack still actually fits quite neatly.

Got the ride height down 15mm from flush with the baseplate and still have full lean clearance. I’m stoked about that. Would have definitely stuck to the single if my 16-5 wasn’t still solid and had battery cash to burn though.

Damn the curves on this thing…
