The battery builders club

Fair. They’re a little too big for most esk8 applications where size is a major constraint. Something like an ebike or other slightly larger LEV though… Mine is in my ebike.

I was just trying to figure out where you could tuck it into a 12S8P 2170… yeah I wish it was skinnier and a bit longer would be good I guess.

@glyphiks have you made any new versions of the triangle BMS holder?

That was the latest version of the triangle, to suit a Kaly DS and sit over the infinity sink.

Also came up with this solution for another config

Working on a stormcore/18s version, and also alternatives to have the ESC below so that it can be mounted to a heatsink and bms on top.

I was thinking about tucking it under the edge here. The BMS metal could short the battery tabs but FP and the printed holder will prevent.

I guess there is plenty of space in the tb40 but I like the BMS integrated, yet removable.

Typical Psychotiller craftsmanship. 🤦🏻

Is that electrical tape or butyl?

Melted electrical tape. Guess that spot was getting hot

Is that a good smart bms? Is it OK to bypass it?
Do you guys also use the temperature sensors?

US $33.35 12%OFF | 12S 50.4V Li ion Smart Bluetooth BMS with 20A 30A 40A 60A constant current UART communication software PCB board

must be plugged in or shorted to work.

idk I am always confused by the dozens of ali pages with minor differences

Yeah that’s a good point, apparently this is a LTT bms. I followed a link given here saying this was official LTT store.

Which one?

Both ways I should be able to jump the fuse if it blows pretty easily.

I like the positive going forward out because I could glue the switch to it.

@DerelictRobot @BenjaminF

@Battery_Mooch looks nice eh? see next I wish there was some mounting holes for printed parts I almost want to drill some, I am gonna stick with tape for now.
What I actually meant to ask you with this tag is do you think there could be a common bolt pattern for BMS/switch to these PCB battery things or can adapters always be handled with printed parts?

I am actually liking option C here
