Understandable
Also I didnāt really realize how tiny this 10s BMS is⦠compared to every other DALY Iāve used itās microscopic

Yeah bro I got one of those from @A13XR3 and I was like dang⦠I am not using a different 10s non smart bms again after seeing how small it was.
Idk what itās max charge rate is though
Mine says 8A.
Yeah 8A. I regularly use them at 5A and theyāre not warm to the touch. But Iāve never built a big enough 10S pack to warrant buying an 42V 8A charger.
Link to said bms? I need a few
Yeah, I mean 8A, if the charger even delivers itā¦
My ā6Aā YZ power seems to only deliver 4.5a most of the time even at low state of battery charge.
Not sure why. This is on a 12s7p battery too. It still probably only takes 2hr to charge though which isnāt bad
My 2A clocks in at a whopping 2.21A
Youāre so extra man but I love it lol
Thatās battery builderās porn right there
As a little tip itās easier to shuffle the order of leads going into that first connection than anywhere else, itās low profile but you never have crossing leads at the top of the pack (more brain work to make sure itās right, but also a little more robust in theory). Work is pristine though! Whatcha using for that center divider, looks like some thin black plastic?
I might be misunderstanding this but its probably because Iām tired⦠but you mean shuffle all the leads into the correct order here so that they donāt cross over at on the top?
Itās a 1mm solid PETG divider I printed out. $0.11 of filament and was a perfect fit
How much would the maximum be by your experience?
Looking clean
Will you be wrapping it with heat shrink when youāre done? Iāve been wondering whether to do that with mine, think I donāt have that extra mm to spareā¦
Yea, Iām doing that first thing tomorrow. Iāll send pictures then.
Edit: I fused the charging port after taking that image. Donāt forget!
Even with enough time? Most BMSā only balance during charge so fixing a 0.1V delta just wonāt happen?
Do these 32V rated automotive fuses on Amazon work also on 12S or what do you normally use?
yes apperntly voltage matters very little more about amps
edit: @Battery_Mooch has told me i am wrong
look below
This is not true, voltage matters.
Of course the current rating matters but you must use a fuse with a high enough voltage rating to prevent arcing across the gap when the fuse blows.
Pay attention to whether the rating is for AC or DC voltage too. For esk8 use you need a high enough DC voltage rating.
No, do not use 32V rated fuses for a 12S pack. Use a fuse with a DC voltage rating higher than 50V.
