The cells are shit. They will sag like @BillGordon’s tits.
By all means do it, but don’t expect anything great from them. Set it at 30 battery amps to start with and see how it goes.

When you say 30a you are saying 30 per side too right.
Absolutely not. 30 continuous battery amps total.
Ohh…yeah. that ain’t much…
You could likely push more, but I doubt the cells would be very happy about it.
There’s good reason why so many people upgrade their evolve batteries.
10s4p 18650 and a thicker gasket right?
Oh there’s a guy who does evolve battery upgrades in this forum somewhere. I think his name was @longhairedboy
Yeah mate. You can squeeze a 10s5p into a CGT if you put a spacer on the heatsink and put the bms on top of the motor controller
Yeah. This was never as good on the evolve as the 10s4p I got from Damon back in the day.
But I’ll tell ya. The gtx battery was infinitely better than the gt battery…
But that is really not saying much I guess…
Yeah from memory the GT battery is 6.5 or 7 Ah and the GTX is 10Ah, I believe the CGT is also 10 Ah.
wow that’s laaaaame. That’s like what I’d consider the bare minimum battery for a last mile board.
How about my 4Ah board?
what gauge wire are balance wires typically?
24awg
I’ve seen them range from 18awg - 26awg
are the connectors always the same JST? is it JST PH 2.0 ? or do they vary?
I think 22awg is the largest that fits in those pins ?
so they must vary if you’ve seen 18awg. hmm.
ok thanks.
It was when @Skyart was making a battery for @Halbj613 and literally had nothing in 20awg or smaller
I use 20awg for pretty much everything. I have this teflon wire stuff that has really thin but strong insulation so I can use a heavier guage and still fit in the smaller connector.
Even 30awg is good for an amp and most BMSs can’t balance that fast so I don’t think it makes much different
