so “less puling more cutting” I can learn from. now I’m. a bit bummed I went to far before getting more advice. I kept trying to find a better rolling twisting technique that seemed to work for people in the vids.

with thin nickel .15 and thinner you can usually pull without issue, .2 and thicker and with good welds, the can will deform before the nickel breaks
this was 2 layers of 0.15 I think.

if you roll the nickel to the side with pliers u can avoid deforming the cells

Yeah I’ve used a dremel to smooth some nickel remains off plenty of times. Especially with this most recent spot welder tips blowing holes in my nickel after their already attached
I have this charger but I haven’t yet learned how to use it to do a discharge test. I don’t have any other kind of load tester.

i have some of those cell holders coming to use with it. the intention was to capacity test all the cells.
right. and I don’t know what that is yet. :D. it’s why I wanted practice cells. I suppose I might f them up further.
but when they came all at the same voltage pretty much I thought hmm. maybe they’re all actually salvagable. and I should practice that whole gambit.

then do a pull test on your welds… you’re still on course…
