Yes exactly
If someone is paying you to do somethingā¦consider yourself a professional. But facing the labels all the same way, makes you a real man.
neat. Iām having trouble understanding howād you get the spot welder with the wires already there.
also, did you do something to preven solder getting into the into the area wher eyouād need to spot weld?
soldering then welding is a real thing since weāre all talking about over-kill!!
Yay Iām more than a real boy now!
well I have been thinking about going that route because my skills with controlling heat when trying to solder on large wires is poor.
but i have larger tips coming for my soldering iron and Iām gonna do some more practice.
Straight up psychedelic
I just make it to where I can pull them aside to get the spot welder in there where it needs to be, sometimes a tight fit but I usually mark exactly where I want to solder by scratching the nickel ahead of time so it works out fine. As far as flux gos, I clean the strips after tinning with alcohol then again with alcohol q-tips on the spot weld spots after the wires are soldered on.
thanks.
I fucking love this dude
Doesnāt that still suffer from the locational current bottle neck?
Itās .3mm * 8mm nickel under the pgroups + braid + 12awg
Maybe Iām mangling these cells more than recovering them. Negative side was hard to pull off. Waiting on better flush cutters to clean up the remaining bits. But I also warped the neg sides a bit. Seems concerning.
Positive sides came out easy. Still a little rough to the touch though.
Good lord lol thatās pretty bad
Thatās more than a little concerningā¦I wouldnāt if I was you
Iād have stopped at the first pull through (definitely after the second and can deformation) and just welded on top of the existing nickle⦠but Iām a k00kā¦
yeah⦠not pretty
did you check if they still show voltage?
They do all have voltage.
iām not sure I learned how to handle this better.
