i kno i kno, I read that on here I just wanted to make SURE it’s ok to put a dremel to a battery
yup it’s cool… just don’t put the dremel in the hand of a fool
… go slow… too little is better than too much…
I just use the grinding disc on the dremel for everything
Did you know if you connect the - terminal to itself, the electricity will recycle and you will never need to charge your battery again
As a kid I figured if I only connected the pluses and minuses of all outlets, the creation of a closed loop system should save a lot of energy. After I did the first outlet the whole house went fucking dark. My dad didn’t like my argument that we were in fact actually saving energy. I was right tho.
my dad caught me making napalm in the garage… hey I was 12…
you make a mean battery brother!!!
hey…i ain’t sayin’ nuttin’ for nuttin… but can you manage to get your hands on a half dozen, non-toxic but ready to be disposed of hemostats?
I love you
THAT is a series connection, haha!
Nice to see these things come to life👍

I’m just burning up an amazon soldering iron and scratching up the tip as well.
The first two gifs are admittedly kinda messy, but that’s 8awg.
@kook I have a few that haven’t been in someone’s butthole. You can get them at fly fishing stores. I found the longer needle driver in the video on the side of the road in Colorado by a fishing area.
I like using hemostats and needle drivers bc you can ‘palm’ them and switch between different tools quickly.
thanks for taking the time to make those videos!
Welcome. I tried Friday night, but had to a few to many drinks, got frustrated, quit.
@batterybuilders @EEE, if I have to use an unreasonably long balance lead, should the red wire be the shortest?
This pack is a being wired as a 6s pack with 7 wires to use an external balance charger.
I know some Gensace lipos are configured in an extra long 12s config that also has long leads.
@Jansen done.
Standard charge rate is 2a a cell per Samsung 40t Spec sheet. So I guess I need a 20a charger for (6s10p)*2.
In raw cells, it’s 8.4kg (18.5 lbs)for 120 cells at 70g each.
Thanks @Arzamenable
(Right back at you )
May this battery have a long and happy life pushing a 500w e-bike…
Sooo tempted by those cells! Were you able to spotweld to the tabs? How did you make the connections?
These foil crimps worked great, got them off @Arzamenable, not sure where he got them but I think these are the ones. .

The problem with these cells is they’re so huge. 10s 2p where a 12s5p made of HG6’S fits with room to spare. The box it’s going in is 12" x 6" x 4.75"… barely any room left for a thin PB&J sandwich
Oh wow! I did not realize how big they were!! Daaang!
