The battery builders club

Ah I forgot it was pelican case formation, my mistake.

Update: it did not work out. All cells real dead, bms is a bitch to remove, charge led indicator built into bms. Don’t do it.

Yeah, that’s what I had him order. No response in 4 weeks though, so he’s getting impatient. Thats why he asked me to look for a seller with US stock

12s8p is like less than 20 miles on pneumatic with spirited riding. 15 or less aggressively with soft tires.

Thanks for your advice. Unfortunately, GPRS(GSM 2G) network is not available in my country (Japan).

It depends on pressure, wind and my weight(71kg with gear on) as you know. I will see my range.

that was reason #473 why my GF orgasmed frequently

Im 95kg smashing the throttle all the time and I get at lest 20ishkm from my dual 6374 from a 12s4p samsung 40T
Also getting around 24wh/km

That are decent nums. I recorded 45km on a baja g4x with a 10S8P 30Q. :joy: And just a question. I put silicpne between my p-groups. Should I go for hot glue between the serial connections instead of silicone for faster completion?

I use hot glue, don’t see a difference. If yo cells getting hot enough to soften hot glue, that ain’t gonna last long

Silicon is better but I use hot glue as i don’t see any evidence of it doing any harm.

Cons
Soferns up when very warm. Not bothered because it’s heat shrunk inside a case.

Hot glue will fail after a few years.
Not bothered as my pack will be dead by then from age and new better cells will exist.

Hot glue doesn’t last as long with large vibrations over silicon. Again my pack cells would be dead by then.

I see the pack as disposable and hot glue is so much easier to work with

I use hot glue all over the battery, hold up well, especially if you let your glue gun get to its max temp when applying it, like when it seems to you that its ready, wait 5 more min

Keep in mind you’re just gluing pvc wrap anyway, you’re not actually gluing the cells. good cell alignment/strong welds and good layout will make more difference than what glue you used to hold some heatshrink sleeves together.

That’s so true, but I hate those hot glue strings everywhere :joy:
maybe it is just my glue thou :man_shrugging:

Helps a lot when you finish laying a bead, keep the hot glue nozzle down and quickly pull it back along the bead then up. Really minimizes the strings

Will try that next time.

It is your glue gun.
Get this one

No dripping and it operates at higher temperatures which produces better results compared to normal hot glue guns.

Just get away from the DIY brands you spend €30 on wera Allen keys so why not buy a proper glue gun
