Hey all just about to start my build and have got my hands a a 13s BMS which I am wanting to use with my 12s4p. Is this possible or am i gonna fry my system? I figured it should work if I just dont use the 13th wire? I have linked BMS here for your consideration. Would really appreciate some info on this TIA
It may or may not work. Depends on whether the BMS firmware accounts for less than 13S. Best to check with the vendor.
You definitely won’t fry it if you connect 12S battery pack. It may not work correctly thought since it may assume undervoltage on the cell 13 where it would be reading 0V.
