If you have the breakout board, you can trace the pins with the ohm meter on a multimeter?
Is that a 28mm connector? Heat shrunk every lead on both ends, nice!

yep thatās exactly what I ended up doing
Finally winding up this Trampa that Iāve had for too long.
Just gotta assemble everything back on the board so I can figure out the length of my battery leads and do the balance connector and iām done
That was a quick reply
This is exactly what I want to add to my enclosureā¦ I donāt know that plug though sry. I had previously envisioned thisā¦ but using those old graphics connectors that where replaced by hdmiā¦
How would you waterproof connectors like that?
Is the other connector (pictured above) waterproof? As long as you have a rubber cover or simple plug, that you can easily make it āwaterproofā to a certain degree. it shouldnāt be that big of a dealā¦ and I donāt know who is riding esk8 in the rain for funā¦ I just recommended that connector because it is widely available, and have plenty of pins for a balance plugā¦ compared to the one your using that Iāve never seen in my lifeā¦ but that connector may be more common in your country, as I am in the US.
I dunno what its called either, found it on aliexpress. It has a rubber cap to waterproof it.
I liked it cos it looked big and easy to solder all the little conmections
You re a real sly fox!
And me silly was zooming and stalking your blue build and wondering where the fuck your battery is from, hoping to find some similar on alibaba or something. hahahha
Probably GX20 or GX28 (the number is the diameter of the hole).
The other connector @Rob is referring to is probably HD-15 aka DE-15 aka VGA.
I linked it further up in the thread but here it is again

On another note, i have fuck all room left in this monster box for a fuse. I donāt see an issue with just putting an inline fuse on the charging cable rather than inside the boxā¦ anyone disagree?
If you mean the chargerās cable, it doesnāt protect from shorts on the charge port. There are some fuses that look like resistors. Littelfuse pico or some such. Iām not sure if the picos go up to 15a though. There other inline Littelfuses that are slightly bigger that can deal with 15a.
Thanks for the link. My head continues to spin. These look kind of like GX but theyāre waterproof IP67. Names seem to be WF, WS, WY dunno what the difference is (yet). 16mm has up to 10 pins, 2pin is 10a which is nice. 20mm up to 12pin, 24mm up to 19pin, 28mm up to 26pin.
Iād really love to figure out the origin of all these random aviation connectorsā¦
This is what was in there. I can probably make it fit but itāll be toughā¦ I feel like this is more to protect the vescs than the battery thoā¦
@Trampa what the hell do you put in your solder? Itās nearly impossible to get through and is the purpose of this fuse to protect the VESCs?
100A fuse is a bit much for the charge portš
As far as I know trampa wire the fuse between pack and vescs to protect both from each other in case of a short.
All good, i put it back in.
But if trampa donāt fuse the charge port, why should I?
Because Trampas donāt normally have a charge port?
The stock factory setup is with lipos and a smart hobby charger.
Doesnāt trampa charge directly through the xt90 plug of the loop key?
Not so easy to wire there a 10-15A fuse as itās the discharge line as well.
If your charge port is separated it makes sense in my opinion and fuses are not really big.
I use this in 10A version on my barrel plug charge ports.

I do not use a fuse if I charge lipos or my 6S LiIon packs with the balance charger thou.
The battery will be charging through the loop key plug
With the UP1200AC Plus, sold by Trampa. If itās good enough for them, itās good enough for me.
If I feel guilty between now and the time I give the board back, I might fuse the charge cord.
I use a fused power strip when I charge my lipos.
Every single charge plug is fused as well as every single balance connector wire.
Thatās sick
