The battery builders club

haha, I ended up face down in gravel, spread eagle with my board upside down still strapped to my feet. I can still taste those rocks

@Bobby was there for the whole thing.

@iamasalmon that happens so often for me when I’m not attentive. That’s why I keep having to make new loopkeys :man_facepalming:

Do you know how to solder an XT90 at 90 degrees?

Do you have a build thread somewhere for that enclosure?

Yes that’s a bit what I have planned.

Buried somewhere in there

Then make the enclosure side connection 90 degrees and have it lay parallel to the surface

?

Wires go up through hole, connect to side of XT90 (which is epoxied flat to the surface of the enclosure)…any impact is transferred through the side of the XT90 to the face of the enclosure rather than crushing the wires and hammering the brass ends of the connector into the batteries

I just got this new soldering iron off Amazon and the solder doesn’t stick to the tip. Just rolls off. Never seen anything like it. Makes things hard to uhmmm, solder

Sorry for all the lines in the video

Chuck the bit in a drill, spin it up against some steel wool…maybe there is a surface coating?

Also what the fuck is wrong with your camera?
