Yeah, wide TKPs are fun AF. Deep leans and deep carves, I worry about scrubbing the side of the deck on the pavement. :grin:

I specā€™d a board once, with the only 2 criteria being it had to be fun and had to be under 10lbs. I couldnā€™t make it work.

That was a couple of years ago and I was still trying to figure out Jet Spuds. Since them Iā€™ve decided they are just garbage. :grin:.

Actually, that was the original plan. But I washed them in the dishwasher and they can out all spotty and black. Since then, I decided the 90mm Popacas are a great fit.

Iā€™m presently riding a 9ish kg popsicle deckā€¦ With nothingā€¦ Elseā€¦ 10s3pā€¦ Itā€™s fun AFā€¦ Itā€™s like running VRā€¦ Everlasting funā€¦ At 80% I can go out for an hour-ish and fuck around at 20mph average and have a great timeā€¦

I love to go fastā€¦ And ill continue to chase thatā€¦

How are you liking them?
I have 2 sets and 1 set has been quite unpredictable under heavy riding, but manageable. While 1 set is just super uncomfortable and I tend to break loose alot while turning.

Thatā€™s the thing. When I plan a build itā€™s typically for specific reason. This one was just for fun. I threw all the ā€œI usually do thisā€ out the window and just built what I wanted to build. Iā€™m happy with the result.

Iā€™ve had multiple sets. Iā€™ve never had an issue with them once they were broke in. My only gripe is that they were out pretty fast. I rode one set down to 83mm.

If you dig them on singleā€¦ A dual DD drive for me seems appropriateā€¦ Do you think the stator core woyld support a 12mm axle?

Iā€™m presently not afraid of making a super-wide direct driveā€¦ I donā€™t care what the kewl long-board downhillers are doingā€¦

The 2nd set are at 85mm currently so that could be the issues, but the other set was from the ā€œbad batchā€ when it had extra urethane. Which have only 45 miles on them.

Only reason I still ride them is to slide em.
