ThaNoS_Short AT commuter_ ChooChoo deck | MAD Fury DD | Hammock Adj Base Plate | Haggy 6" / TB110mm wheels

It’s cog or cut off? Usually motors starts cogging then cut off when the temp is too high.

No no tmep was fine I get cloggs even at starts. But it’s really that motors I think. I am now using the 75Kv with bergmeister as you did and they are good. Problem is my first unity thst now has one side broken.
Anyway with the 60Kv one side was clogging and I had to slow down then the motor sometimes goes in the other direction. I think the unity was already gone at that time. To me the bad sensor caused error in one side of the unity and since there clogging ecc…

Today I used the 75Kv with the AT wheels. here 2 metr recordings. Don’t care about the speed. I set the right wheel dimension and poles are the same as before. No idea. I went max at 40-43kmh if you ask me. Also too scared to give the time to gain speed. Before it was a constant hard acceleration, now the motors suffer.

So the riding is amazing and I will keep AT on this build for sure, too nice. I will propably go gear drive for it. I could get out and up curbs like a bike! Can you imagine…I was not looking at the street anymore. Fantastic…They just go.

Concerning the motor now I think that the problem are actually the wheels. So the 75Kv did better then the 60Kv which I still believe one side had a bad sensor and that started the problem with the Unity, but the clogging on hard acceleration stays and they can not take the hills in my city, while I used these motors for over 1k kmh and I was taking the same hills at 40kmh. They are just to big for 1:1 ratio. So gonna try with TB110mm wheels. but first a ride at 97mm to see if everything is fine as before. Maybe the 60Kv can still be used, seems that indeed the wheels were the problem for the clogging and not unity and motor. Plus with AT the motors got really hot. Never reached that temperature before. so no good.

For the rest super happy about the deck and the overall look. I love it. Compact, beautiful and functional…when I will get the right motor combo for it

I know at is cool but until I don’t find a new drive solution… Went back to 97mm 5obsee if everything is fine… Also waiting the TB 110mm.

Well I usually don’t say it but I really think I have made a crazy deck. The power is crazy but thst I knew it. After 2 days on slow tyre felt like being o. A rocket again… So nice so nice…
What I am really pleasant about is the deck. Trucks are really loose at the point I can U turn and still feel double of stability compare the spud deck… I mean I am locked in… I didn’t believe a 31 inch deck could give such high stability…sorry for the big claim by I am just super hyped!

The low ride version

@deucesdown I think we should give a try at the 60Kv. The internal resistance is a bit higher but they should ask less current for same torque. I will need to replace the sensor pcb on mine. I have a spare one from a 130Kv motor.

Any group by for the hammock plate? Btw amazing build and awesome deck!

You missed the second GB round  anyhow I got few more but need to check how many I have left.

Thanks man. I have tried the AT with the MAD Fury but is not working for me. I mean with the smaller wheels are rocket!

No doubt this still looks awesome, but the unforgettable burley look of the AT wheels on this setup is fading away.

I was playing with the calculators. Maybe 45kv would be ideal gearing-wise, but probably not workable. Seems like many winds of very thin high resistance wire.

Do you think mad storm has a chance with AT?

Sounds like we’ll have a group buy soon for the deck+enclosure?

Mad storm is 85Kv but bigger motors. Also 1kg heavier for all the steel parts. I have a 55kV motor but never tried and no way I an remove the stator from the other one. I out too much retainer I think. Once I repair my Unity I will finish the other board.

Forbthe Thanos AT is only postponed. The feeling is too nice to give up. But I need another drive… I need a bit of time
Now I should get tomorrow or next week the TB 110mm for now. Now that I used both urathene and AT on the same set up I can tell you thst the wheels resistance is a thing. They still ride free on AT but these hub ls are basically free wheels on thane. Amazing. They cruise forever.

For the deck for me is a big yes. Solid, rides 100 times better than expected. Gives extra stability. I simply love it can not say more about it. Also lucid grip is a thing. First time I try it. Really clear and does the job. Thanks @visnu777 for the input.
For the enclosure I can try vaccum forming again to have a cheaper options, or we can go fiberglass.

What’s the season for the shape of the deck? Basically asking why the front and the back is not symmetric?

Basically because it’s from a blanket skateboard deck. There the 2 kick tails are not simmetrical. I used the original shape to give a good drop down and a slightly higher rear kick tail that in my mind will give you more vertical wall to push it during hard accellaration. That was something that challenged me on my spud that I felt like my foot was going off of the board. It’s a thing of short deck where you don’t have a lot of space so you have to find your own way. This shape works as a dual foot stop.

While your top secret project is cooking  , I’m also staring at these

Low cost and low profile. Maybe mess around with a bunch of risers and/or the hammock, or even an extension bracket, to fit it under your deck, inward mount.

Which also means you can’t have a different motor setup like you wanted.

With the AT wheels will be tricky but maybe In diagonal will work too, I hope so! With the new drive we will see it
I didn’t took into account the hammock and the little bumper I made, but if you see the bumper takes the same space of the wheels.
