Stuff about double kingpin trucks

This is pure preference  not hating, just sharing how I enjoyed precision trucks more than evolve trucks

Not sure my guy. I’m using them with a riptide setup of 90 and 93’s. How wide is the deck you were using? On a hummie, shits almost 4 feet long (46.5"). Stable af at speed. Although I did run them on a falcon 36 too np either. @ARetardedPillow uses them on a hummie deck with 13S6P dual 6374’s and he has no issues lol.

Used them on evolve bamboo deck, hummie deck, and skate shred drop deck. Just not my cup of tea… I gave them a solid college try lol. After riding 200mm surf rodz rkps I couldn’t go back. Had to get the 176mm hanger to keep it nimble

Yeah, that bamboo deck wasn’t my favorite lol. I get dkp is not for some people as you kinda have to get used to that second pivot. But holy shit once you get it dialed in and are familiar with how the trucks respond. Boom, these things are fucking carving monsters. I could not carve no where near as hard as I do with these DKP’s on RKP’s. Although, I only used rkp’s on Evo’s which are wedged and dewedged so idk.

It always baffles whenever this topic comes up that people are immediately trashing dkp trucks.
They are a lot of fun.

Fckng haters. Funny thing is most came to this hobby by using Evolve. Now that they consider themselves ‘Pros’ (although you never see them winning no racing shit nowhere) now they are suddenly masters of the universe, professional racing riders, Esk8 evangelists, owners of the word, inventors of the hobby and eboarding free agents who trash Evolve DKPs so they can feel good with themselves.

The “rear” version definitely have extended axles. I’d argue the best extended axles, in fact.

Wow dude I feel you but I don’t want to join the cult.

I do not like kool aid

They are not perfect and far from ranking among top e-trucks, but half the riders learned or came into the hobby by using them.

32mm at 8mm thick and 20mm at 10mm thick to be precise. Extended axles indeed at 52mm total !

same. first prebuilt was a carbon gt because batman.

Loved it but knew no better. Prior was hashed together rc car electronics and chinesium.

Still love dkp but don’t trust my old reactions to cope with the power I would be unable to not instal

You can always remove a kingpin if you don’t like it.

Also wanted to add that the lofty drives rear truck goes backwards more than the front, clearly visible in this pic.

I have the ownboard trucks and it’s almost an exact Evolve clone. F2/4 and R2/4 i have the same setup, but F1/R1 i use 87a shortstreetbarrel and 90a shortstreetbarrel for F3/R3.

Yes it doesn’t turn as well as using cone bushings, but it’s super stable. Very predicable.

Hey guys so a quick question saw these pop around on aliexpress. I think they are the same as the ones dicky uses. But I am quite hesitant on buying them. Does anyone have any experience with these. I love the wider trucks think the tb 218 are too narrow. So would love some wider trucks for stability reasons. Bumps etc.
Here are the links of the trucks:

I have them. Keep in mind there are 10mm extended axles.

Ohh cool and what do you think of them any pics . Whats the diffirence between these and just your standard 218’s. I have been really getting into carving this year and I think this would be a great upgrade.

There is no difference between them and any other DKP truck, they are just wider.

Oh really? I thought they carved better since it has a dual kingpin. So the turning radius was tighter.

Yes, they do, compared to RKP.
