Stuff about double kingpin trucks

Ahh yeah that was what I meant. Which mounts do you use with them. Dickyho’s mounts or just the baseplates already installed. I dont know what the clearance is on the mounts included on those reartrucks.

I have them on one of my push boards, so no mounts at all.

Ah oke. Could you make a pic for me of your board I am curious to see what the clearance is. Its hard to imagine it if you see the dimensions . I like the clearance I currently have with the 218 trucks and I think getting more ground clearance would make it unstable.

The clearance depends on the deck and the wheels you are using. The trucks are nothing special and like any other DKP truck.

Dickyho or any paris style mount will probably work on these trucks

is that truck from evolve GTR or evolve Stoke?
im hesitating on evolve stoke bc i dont like DKP. I would like to remove one kinping and place an waterborne instead. do you think would it be possible?

My 2 cents after using DKP trucks in my build:

Finished a build using OP’s link to Flipsky DKP 13.75" trucks. Replaced the bushings and pivot cups with the Riptide DKP truck set. Turns real nice and is a great ride but at speeds around 30/mph and above you tend to get speed wobbles. I’m still experimenting around with tightening the trucks and I may get harder bushings, but overall I would recommend getting RKP trucks or something else for boards where you want more stability, especially at higher speeds. Happy with my build result but my next board build will not have DKP trucks lol.

Which kit version fits the trucks? What duro did you get and what do you weigh?

I used the Double Kingpin Bushing box for Evolve boards and it seems to fit perfectly. I chose 90/93 for my setup and it handles really well, but I’m thinking something stiffer might be better for me so I can push higher speeds more confidently. I weigh about 175lbs. Any recommendations? Love your stuff btw.

Can you post pictures of the front and back bushing stacks?

This is getting interesting! Also, do you deliver bushings in different colors? Im looking to upgrade my evolve bushings with yours but all in red  also looking for stainless cups and ofcourse your beautiful pivot cups.

Hmmm maybe green is cool too

One change we found with the Onsra that worked really well was changing the front truck bottom Green KranK 90a to a 93a. PM me your address and I will send you one to try

Wow, thank you! I’ll make sure to update with my results once I give it a shot. Appreciate the help!

Update: After swapping out the barrel bushing on the front truck to a 93a and applying some tightening, ride stability at all speeds has greatly increased. Even with the stiffer trucks, the board still has good maneuverability and even at higher speeds I feel confident making agile moves to dodge all those fun hazards on the road.
Overall, I now feel Double Kingpin trucks are a good choice for an esk8 and with the right bushing and pivot cups you can tune the feel of the board for any rider. I will still say that other truck options could provide more stability, but even around 40mph I felt really in control on my board.

Thanks again for all the help @RipTideSports!

Is there a wider DKP trucks you would recommend. Thinking of building a Bustin Sportster with DKP for carving. Not interested in speed beyond 25MPH.

You can take the FS DKP trucks if you want wider DKPs.

15.2” Flipsky trucks.

Thanks! How do you like them? Does the width make them less agile? What made you decide to go with such wide trucks?
