Thanks @ARCTIC and @MoeStooge!

Is it possible to put Meepo SRB MONSOON wheels on the SRB SUPERSPINE?

Definitely possible since they both use bearings made for 10mm axles.

I am pretty sure the bearings used in the MLR wheels have a 22mm outer diameter. 22x10x7mm bearings are not very strong. When the wheels are run with a Stooge sprocket, only the two bearings in the wheel will be carrying the load.

If you want to run pneumatics, I would recommend either the Linnpower or MAD tubeless wheels. Both use 28mm OD bearings.

If you want maximum grip, slide predictably and are not planning to ride on streets, the BRP racing wheels are the best choice.

I would like to run 12S and get a max speed of about 70 km/h.
How MAX5 HV perform with SSS motors?

There are now 56133 models that should dissipate heat better.

EZRUN MAX5 HV + 56118D 650KV inrunner would perform 94 km/h with gear ratio 10/78 at 12S with 150 mm BRP wheels.
So a SSS 500KV inrunner would be capable of 72 km/h. It could swallow 248A.

Unfortunately, the SSS motors are sensorless.
Does anybody know if startup cogging is too bad if you mix MAX5 HV and SSS motors?

What battery are you using?

@MoeStooge when will 78t spur gears be back in stock

I don’t have any of these yet. But I want to run at least 12S.

I talked to them a few weeks ago, atm they’re out of stock for a few months. They should still have one set.

Particular reason for 12s? I take it you don’t intend on racing if you’re considering sensorless

It just seems weird to my mind going back to 8S. Ten years ago I used car ESC and 6S for my electric mountainboards.

Yet, I have read the topic 20s Little FOCers on stooge SRB v5#1 and I know understand that the Hobbywing or Castle car ESC can feel more powerful than VESC at 20S.

How many P-groups you need for your Lipo battery to provide enough amps. 2P, 3P?

I’m running the max 4 70125’s and I found my lipos sagged too much in 12s2p. They’re definitely happier 8s3p. But yes even @8s it is night and day worlds ahead in power of my previous 4wd vesc setup, and that was already beyond the reliable limit of 175kv outrunners.

Thanks! Does the combo MAX4 + inrunner 70125 worth the extra money and weight compared to the combo MAX5 HV + inrunner 56118D?

I’ll find out soon… id say probably not. The size and weight difference is huge.

You are in EU right? I have a set of max4+motors I am selling for the price of the max5 combo, f you should choose that ditection. They are completly new.

Yeah I’m in EU. Thanks but I have to find out before which one I need between MAX4 and MAX5.

I’ve read MAX4s are almost too big to mount at the back of the SuperSpine.

What is capacity sweet spot between range and weight for 4S lipos in 8S3P configuration : 6000 mAh, 10000 mAh? (I mean the capacity of the Lipo 4S unit).

A range between 10 km et 15 km is OK to me.

And what is maximum battery height to fit into the belly pan?
