Stooge Raceboards Web-Store Up

Id be dubious of the TPU sealing direct to the enclosure, but maybe if theres enough mounting pressure that would work?

This is what I’m thinking of

You could cut some flexible packing foam sealed with RTV or cut some old inner tube with RTV.

Reckon a v shaped weather strip Deck side could work, with a rubber door seal attached to the metal, Gong off @glyphiks advice on using a sheet metal bending brake to close the gaps up better front and rear

You might even be able to bend up the whole end at once if you drill out those rivets

Just worried about it being tall enough for the front and rear

the only thing is the 2 quick release Dzus fasteners don’t have much clamping pressure, so I’d need something relatively soft to seal with

Ive been wanting to do the same with my SS. I have semi-access to a big 3d scanner, so I might be able to get a nice fitting gasket made specifically for it. Maybe include some cut outs to run some wires.

The gasket suggestions seem like a good route to me, but I would also consider using a Tomiboi or enclosure instead of the SRB pan.

The trakhawk deck is made by @tomiboi , so his enclosures might easily fit the deck. I assume you’d just need to break out the dremel to hack away space from the kydex enclosure to fit the spine. You’d also need to make sure the battery leaves space for the spine in the center.

It would be quite easy to have a waterproof enclosure that fits the deck quite well.

Might be a viable option but I think this was a new mold for @tomiboi . And since it was never designed to have a traditional enclosure, I don’t think any of his would fit with the contours of the SS. I could be totally wrong but then again🤷🏼‍♂️. If I didn’t have a couple projects going already, I would hop on the grenade of designing a gasket.

My long enclosures fit the trackhawk well. The problem is the spine going down the center. You pretty much need to go with the double-stack, but then there are clearance issues. You’d probable be forced to go with 8” wheels.

yeah,I’m using the BRP stooge wheels so going with a seal / foam strip inside of the existing belly pan / underside of the deck

Has anyone run 8"+ wheels on a spine?

No but I can prolly throw a set of wheels on to see the wheel bite

I’ll throw a set on tonight. Does anyone ever grease up the spherical bushings? Some of mine are tight to where they’ll hold themselves up once a side is disconnected and some are so loose that they’ll immediately fall to gravity.

Had to trim down the videos. Long story short, it’s gonna be really close with anything over 6-7 inches.

@Swol_Moon
Woods meant for cutting. Radius the wheel well.

Not for me, another forum member asked how much clearance it had.
