I run 8s lion with the 56118 650kv with 11 / 78. I havnt tried higher s than 8.
I like to gear the setup to the track.
I have fund that I cant go lower than 11t pignon as I havnt fund any with a lower count that are durable enough. 11t and up you can find some that are almost indestructible (losi / castle creation). So you can have 11, 12, 13 and 14 ready to gear for the specific track.
On my setup I have fund that I would like to have it geared slightly lower for some tracks. Its not all tracks that allow us ti go 65kmh. With the 560kv I think I could get closer to where I want to be on some tracks.
I would stick to the 78t wheel gear. That way you can go with the 70125 560 kv on 8s and be able to gear for lower speed on the tight European tracks with 11t, and then bump up the pignons for other tracks track where the straight allows higher speed.
I havnt tried the max5 and 70125 combo yet. But thats the next thing I will look into when next season comes.
For a one setup to everything I do think the 56118 650 kv on 8s 11/78 fits good.
