Well… I didn’t expect to be writing this, especially not right now. I got rear ended with mine and someone else’s board in the trunk.
Let’s start off with the most important thing.
I’m alive. No signs of internal bleeding or spinal injury. Just some neck and back pain from the whiplash.
Idk if i’ll be doing any more racing for the rest of the season tho… so much for going to that TEF1 race this november.
if anyone needs a ticket, i can see if they’ll allow me to transfer it.
Now for the bad news. (30 Sep)
The Car
My car is totaled. Heavy body damage and the frame is also bent. So glad my rear windshield was tinted because glass would’ve flew everywhere otherwise.
The worst part is the motorist that hit me is uninsured so that’s gonna suck for my insurance rates most likely.
The Board
The truck smashed in the corner where my front tire was sitting. The board was lodged in there and I had to go into the back seat to get pull it out. From a preliminary check, my megan is totaled, my front wheel has a wobble, and trucks are bent along with some bent hardware.
1 Oct Update
They took the car this afternoon. Now to wait and see what insurance will give me for the car.
They also called to let me know they’re totaling the car which i was expecting.
2 Oct Board Inspection
opened her up today and found out the hit was hard enough to shift the battery almost 2 inches, smashing one of my charge fuses.
miraculously, i think the fire stopped in the fuse holder but after seeing that, i’m shipping the battery back to Artem so he can inspect it. just gotta drain the voltage down cause it was at full charge to go racing with friends.
also gonna retire the deck since i don’t know the structural integrity of it now. conclusion…
sidewinder is out of commission and i need a new raceboard
fortunately my bros superspine was free of damage because of how it was oriented.
Already posted pics in a couple of the groups I’m in, this is just a public update. Thank you to those who have already checked in and I appreciate this community more than I could ever express.
