It’s doesn’t feel like it, but the battery doesn’t go all the way to the top. The axle position compared to the deck height might help too. The deck is just a hair below the axle.

Yeah the JDM clips offer a “quick release” option which is great for a lipo set-up. I made this box for personal use and haven’t done any thorough water testing/submersion, however it’s survived a few rainy rides just fine, so the seals, clips and TPU gaskets seem to be doing their job.
The standard boxes I’m producing have their lids secured by m4 bolts and have held up to an IP65 standard.

Thank you man! I’m pretty happy with how they’ve developed over the past few months. And yeah, having everything modular allows for upgrades and small alterations in design without having to sacrifice the whole box.

and you epoxy bolts or nut into the box?

You can see some of the inside of the enclosure here.
I drill holes and use flat head bolts that go through it.
The bolts go into inserts on the deck.
I used two aluminum strips(popsicle stick size) and gorilla tape for support so the bolts have some surface area to push against.

Sweet build! Looking to do the same. Is that the standard Monster Box? Did you have to modify it? How did you find the balance with the weight?
I’m a big fan of the size/shape and aesthetic of this top box, but the cells in it are mismatched with the board (12s6p p42a in the board, 12s3p 50e in the box) and as such, i can’t really charge the board with the two packs in parallel 
So the 12s3p is making way for a 12s4p p42a… if i wanna get really creepy, i could stack both of them together
