Should I buy a Onewheel Pint?

Welp.
The wife said ok and I sent it!

OneWheel Pint X on the way.

that bit more range and speed and saying in stock really did it for me.

pretty stoked .

I sure hope their QC for assembly is better now. I mean the metal nut loose in the esc box was just stupid.

Well.
I’m glad I did it.

I’m geeked.

More than anything it is something new to be excited about.

So far it has been a trip to ride.

I only have like 6 miles on it… 2 yesterday 4 today…
some in the living room and some in the garage…

use

I put the Float Life Kush Hi on it today.
I think that was a good buy.

got some more stuff coming from FM.
it has been fun picking out the few accessories.

I only fell once today.
but I was trying a backside revert.

I don’t think I have gone faster than 12 miles…

I can’t figure out how to go fast on it…

@TheBoardGarage what mode do you usually ride in?

that foot sensor is pretty finecky… I hope the kids are able to ride it.

But riding it is different. I seem to be able to turn toe side better…
which is weird.

the turning is different. I can’t wait to get better and lean harder at more speed.

but overall excited and looking forward to put time on it.

I just hope I don t fuck myself up. I know this thing is gonna drop me a bunch, I just hope i get lucky.

ohhh
and this is something that is weird is you can’t just push it along when it is on…
like you can kick a board…
duh…
but yeah. i had not thought of that.

5 days in.

still happy I got it.

I have a whopping 33 miles under my belt…

been riding it a bit everyday.

I took it out of the neighborhood the first time today.

it was pretty fun.

I still can’t figure out how to go fast…

I did have my first nose dive today…
all good luckyly.

going slow up a slight hill a couple blocks from home… at only 14% battery…

apparently a no no…

that shit just dumped right down slamming on the sidewalk.

it would really suck at speed…

turns out the pint is really hard on my front knee…
I have been feeling it hurt a bit in recent months after long rides.

this week on the pint has it pretty lit up.

10 miles into my ride today and it was throbbing…

Have you considered fangs?

I’m not sure if fangs are available for the pint x (granted it’s thicker) but those would help lower speed nose dives as it wouldn’t fully throw you off and give you a chance to run it off.

yeah… they do work supposedly.

but I was not wanting to get them…

going to think about it some more…

I just ride mine within it’s limits. Don’t go fast, don’t ride anywhere or at any speed that you can’t afford to be thrown off the front.

Personally, i wouldn’t afford the ‘upgrade’ to fangs, because needing them would necessitate riding beyond limits.

To me it’s a toy. Its a super fun toy and i’d find it hard to be without, but it definitely has its limitations and use cases.

Also, by falling because of your low battery, you just found the critical design flaw of EUCs and other balance vehicles!

I owe my life to my fangs, nearly brained myself on a pickup at 21 mph, the fangs let me recover enough to dodge so I’m always going to ride with them on the off chance
