Should I buy a Onewheel Pint?

I did not notice stuttering at all. Just cruising along and the board shut off. Very rude.

That’s awesome! I’m definitely building a vesc onewheel soon.

What voltage bat did you go with?

20s2p pack, the original CBCSO :sob:

It was a stupid easy build, time wise it took awhile (mostly parts waiting) but complexity was next to nothing.

So far, it’s pretty good. Surprisingly so.

Configuration was the hardest part. The top to bottom documentation of configuring the IMU, the Balance App, and the logic behind why certain things are to be done, is insanely deficient.

One of my concerns with this section of the community, is that nearly no one who is positioned as a mainstay in the DIY Onewheel space, has extensive experience in DIY Eskate, and working with VESCs outside of the FOCers.

And so the usual things that plague working with VESC, and the pitfalls of DIY, are horribly underrepresented, if not entirely ignored when talking about these projects to newer people.

You should make a video titled Diy is a Disease…

More along the lines of “Why DIY VESC One Wheels Are Not For You” maybe.

As obsessed and deep into esk8 as I am I really don’t like messing in the Vesc app… And most of my boards are on 23.64…

So even at a glance I can tell the Onewheel stuff is going to be hairy…

3d printed cabrio fenders and a vehicle holder for my GT.

Wow.
Both look great.

Have fun with that Future Motion, too bad you made your entire community hate you over that last year or maybe they would defend you.

That is a tough one for FM…

I mean they have a point. They’re dangerous and should be treated accordingly. Ride responsibly and wear a helmet.

The issue I have with FM is boards cutting out when riding responsibly. I’ve personally had the Pint X and GT nosedive due to faulty parts. I don’t hear too much of that happening, so I’m hopefully in the minority. The GT nosedive would have been really ugly without a helmet. Still love them though

I actually never had a nose dive injury since I was able to outrun all that I had, besides having a knee that hurt for a while because of how hard I landed on it with a locked leg, never had skin hit the ground. I hate them because of how much they tried to rip me off for fixing my Plus they quoted 800 for something the guys at the float life (mostly) fixed in an afternoon. Seems like what I had was a rare issue, my bearing broke and the iron balls shattered and fragments got all over the motor and messed it up, the fact I rode it for a couple hundred miles like that didn’t help, but I couldn’t really tell anything was wrong for the first part.

Well.
Holy shit dude.

I got to ride a Vesc build today.

And it was awesome.

Built on a Pint frame with a 20s2p pack.

It certainly felt really good and as smooth as FM to me.
It was weird not to hit push back on the little board…

The dude that built it gets up to 25…

We rode around a bit and I was on the Gravel Flux and he was flying…

I got the Flat pad for my GT today.

And right after putting it on I went riding with my new buddy with the Vesc.

I did 7.5 miles .
And I like the flat pad.
Definitely keeping it on…

I also got to ride the Vesc a little bit and it’s awesome… And that dude really books it on that thing.

You’ve got me freakin jelly!! I’ve been wanted to try a vesc build badly since they dialed in the firmware. I’ve added these items to my Xmas list to get the ball rolling

Probably do my own battery, but I need to watch @TheBoardGarage ’s vid on the 20s bms setup before I’ll pull the trigger on everything.

I want to get the thunder kit so bad…

I also ordered the Half and half lower kit for my GT.

See what that does.

I’ve thought about that too, but the reviews I read a few months ago were not very favorable. Seems like fitment wasn’t great. Hopefully that has been improved. The GT definitely feels top heavy

I’m going to partially fund this by selling the Hummie kickstarter hubs that finally arrived a few months back
