Should I buy a Onewheel Pint?

So it is probably too soon for me to run my mouth…

I am 5 miles in on the Hoosier.

But seriously… seems so much better

I am little lost as to why FM doesn’t ship the Pint with a tire that is more like this.

So much of the squirlyness is gone.

Like seriously… the wobbly sketchiness is not there.

A+.

from extensive 5 miles of experience…

Yeah good tires go a long way, worn out Vega to a new Hoosier was a game changer

Told ya. That tire is a solid good. A near perfect medium.

Nice digs on the sensor there. I’ll look into that also. :+1:

As a Pint and XR owner I strongly prefer the XR, even between a Pint X and XR I’ll take the XR

Although I’ve become reasonably comfortable on the pint tire, I’m curious to try the wider Hoosier tire. Definitely wouldn’t mind more stability. How does the new tire carve?

dude.
to me everything is better.
both straight line and carving and pivoting.

I rode around in front of the house today and again was amazed at how much better it was.

I got wobbles on the pint constantly and had to fight it all the time and really focus on the diagonal tension and the ride is just so much more consistent now…

seriously they are fucking up not shipping with a tire like this…

furthermore with the Hoosier I can now catch major air time!!!

I think this would be be the next thing I would want to fuck with…

I wish there was a Kush Nug Hi for the front…

this is a good concept.

I wonder how well it works.

@TheBoardGarage

ever seen these in real life?

Yeah. They’re…meh. I don’t personally like them, at least. They raise the level that the foot is at relative to the axle, and feels a bit odd.

I’m not really much of a concave person myself either. Probably in the minority there, but I’ve never particularly liked all the concave pads.

Same here, I run a Kush Lo on the tail and stock front, and I’ve been running it with nose down 3 degrees

Here is another scenario where I think the OneWheel shines.

Getting my riding fix on a cold winter day.

it is 32 with a feel like of 26f…

this is below my usual threshold for going riding.

but I just went and did 5 miles around the neighborhood on the pint and it was fun.

it doesn’t get as cold since it is not as fast.

and typically my remote hand is the first thing to freeze and it was a non issue just now…
no heated gloves needed.

For the couple of times I’ve tried to ride, sensor engagement sucks balls for me if I’m wearing my vans. But if I swap to running shoes or Jordan’s they engage better for me.

So have any of you guys tried going up a curb?

That seems like it is gonna be hard…

I haven’t don’t it personally but I’m trying to learn, fins and a float plate will make a lot of difference

It’s very hard for a while. Then at some point, something clicks. Takes time.

Dave from One Trick Wheel helped me a lot.

Yeah. unsuccessful thus far. I think my timing on pushing into the curb while unweighting the back foot is off, or more accurately I think I’m doing both of those things too late. I’m just stalling on the curb with my wheel spinning. I’ll get it eventually

Curb nudge practice :joy:

getting closer? or “slipping” further…

I thought about going to try it today a little bit ago while on my afterwork ride.

but the sidewalk I wanted to try it on was super covered with salt…

I’ve been told to practice with a 4x4 or something shorter first
