Should I buy a Onewheel Pint?

dude.
you are doing it right!!!

I super wanted to get an XR on the black Friday deal and still want a GT…

but I can’t even ponder having that conversation with the wife…

I will have to settle in a new tire…

I thought about the XR, but there is a chance my 13yr old daughter will use the Pint. Im actually a bit worried about riding the pint…I think I’m about your size, 6’1” 205lbs, which seems more suited to the XR.

I would most definitely suggest the Kush Nug Hi… for the pint.

I’m not sure that’s going to properly fit on a Pint…

The XtraRad would, but that’s a bit hard to come by.

I’ve thought about this for a dog runner, it would be perfect for some dogs but I feel mine would yank me off the front. As is I need full acceleration to keep up when he takes off in the first few blocks b4 he gets tired. Possibly as age sets in I’ll be able to out pace him on the take offs

well. when I said it up there I didnt specify…
but I was really thinking walking and not running…

I am not sure I’d be into going fast and holding a leash…

I was really thinking strolling…

My dog is pretty timid on walks… so would work for him.

It was a bit freaky at first, but we found a synchronous rhythm mainly doing the same 1.5mi loop every ride.
I think he listens to the sound of the gears more than my commands, at least to slow down and stop.
Extending leash helps.

Got my pint x yesterday. Put about 4 miles on it riding my neighborhood. I get the floating feel, which is cool, but I don’t have the confidence yet to carve hard. I did hit 16mph and felt comfortable, but have no intention of speed much beyond that. It is surprisingly nimble riding around my kitchen and living room once I turned simple stop off. Also 3d printed a stand.

awesome dude.
I hope you enjoy it.
I actually took mine out of the neighborhood yesterday and did a six miler on it.
It was pretty cool. and for me 6 miles on it, is a super long ride.

I envision riding this a lot inside the house when Winter gets hard.

are you geeking on the youtubes on all the how to videos?

good tips out there.

Yes! Watched all those multiple times :joy:. Hopefully will graduate to some curb drops this weekend. I did have my wife laughing at my awkward dismounts a couple times last night. So used to taking back foot off first. I just hop off with both feet most of the time now.

Careful on the speed. Even on the Pint with its robust pushback, nosedives sneak up on you.

so guys.
I was not aware of this concept.
saw it earlier on the Facebook…

I tried to be mindful of it while riding a little bit today and it seemed to really help with the loosey goosey wobbles

Yes, excellent advice for straight line riding. Very helpful. :+1:

Took the pint X out for a 8 mile ride today. Had fun on it. Not really any trouble with wobbles, but the roads are mostly decent in my area. I also ride my esk8 trucks pretty loose, I wonder if that helps controlling the onewheel wobble.

I did hit pushback at odd times, like early on a not so steep hill and once going about 15mph on a flat section. Keep in mind, I’m not speed focused at all, I rarely take my esk8s over 25mph, so I’m not trying to get on the onewheel hard at all. Is it possible my weight was too heavy on the front and that’s contributing to early pushback?
