Time to open the lid and insulate all the solder points.
What mileage did you have >100km?
My single neobox is at 103.2km so far. The “broken” one is at 0. Now i fear something dying mid ride.

Yeah once I break everything down (again) it’s going on the bench for probe time. For those curious only had about 40 miles on these at the time of failure.
Did you have your rx insulated and secured down? Sounds like a short happened with your rx.
Yup shock isolated and secured with industrial Velcro, there’s also no visible oxidation or vaporization that I can find on the boards but like I said going to pull everything out for some time on the healing bench.
What an absolute shitshow this neoBOX has become. I really had high hopes. Just hope you guys all get your money back
.
Seeing that this is an quite early stage and he had that company backing him up I have high hopes. So wish you guys all the best of luck.
What a rollercoaster ride
I am rapidly running out of patience for Jeff Wu and his sketchy behavior. I want honest updates, my pair of V6’s or a refund. I am going to file a PayPal dispute before my 180 days is up if he continues to blow smoke up our collective asses.
The LEAST he could do is send updates to customers who already paid him. Butt-hurt over the forum drama? Send out some emails or appoint an employee to update your threads! It is starting to look like it was never Jeff’s plan to complete this production run.
WTF, Jeff: If you are reading this thread under an assumed profile. Get your shit together - don’t screw over the same people who most wanted to see you succeed!
The same people who want to see him succeed also seem to me like the people who want him to fail… I’m not saying anyone individually, but taken as a whole, this forum really makes my head hurt. I don’t see how a vendor can be ridiculed for weeks, to this day, and realistically expect them to just communicate and basically (at the root of the requests) be positive about all of it (and deliver)… the image it puts in my mind is someone trying to wake someone up by bashing their head in with a baseball bat.
I’ll just keep waiting for my neoboxes here. If I don’t get them, no delivery, dispute, get money, move on. What is all this nonsense? I’ve hidden truths about who I know all my life honestly, isolated friend groups are good friend groups (I know not relevant…) going to get back to waiting now.

Literally me right now
lol
Dude, your Jeff Wu Apology Tour is getting old. If you’re comfortable with deceit in your life, so be it. But for others who put more of a premium on honesty, the current situation reflects what happens when you try to pull a con job on an entire community and you don’t cover your tracks.
Even I’m losing my patience. I’ve been rooting for him all along but I’m on the verge of being a turn coat.
Can you make a poll. There’s a lot of people saying they are disputing and there are a lot of people saying they are waiting. I’m certain there are still people lurking and not speaking. …How many people that pre-ordered are active/completed dispute, planning a dispute, still have hope? I’d like to see a snapshot so I could decide what side of the line to stand on cause I just don’t know anymore.
I have until October (I think, I checked a few days ago) I am not really hurting for money, just the desire to ride, therefore I don’t mind that the money isn’t in my account right now. So alas I will wait until I cant wait any more.
Assuming StormCore come out before I get my NeoBoxes, maybe ill dispute at that point but I doubt it since again, having additional capable parts (the testing results of the v6 were good) isn’t going to hurt me at all just entice me to make another build
which is fine.
Edit: clarifying wording
I don’t wish to completely fukup the pleasant equilibrium and symbiosis we have here… but do you all know the paypal pool only runs so deep…
second choice is a credit-card card dispute…
I don’t wish to cause an avalanche… but how many peeps got their many-moneys from other skip-an-go lightly vendors…???
it’s your bux and your choice…
EDIT:
when the potter-poof went pop how many paypal disputes were refunded… If you do some research there is something like 35k of paypal disputes in the potter-poof’s liquidation that are unpaid…
makes one think
Suppose its never been an issue for me, but it makes sense. Things to ponder I suppose.
mucho easier to vote with your wallet if there is something in your wallet
EDIT:
there are already users that are experiencing paypal extensions…
do your own speculation as to why that is occuring…
I haven’t been on this forum for very long but right at the beginning I started following 2 threads: this one and the @glyphiks monster build. I find it pretty amazing that there are any people left that believe they will get their neoBOXes or their money back. This has turned from shady blahblah to an obvious scam. How much proof that there won’t be production neoBOXes do you want?
EDIT: to be clear, the amount of endorphins that is released when reading the Monster Build Thread compensates the tears when reading this one by a factor of about 320 gazillion.
So…
Is the quality of neoboxes good now, if you get one, especially the V4 (what’s even better than a few more amps on the V6) ?
Can buy them somewhere where you get them 100%?
